QUOTE(lucidlts @ Jan 6 2014, 10:54 AM) Can't give much comment as I've never tested any of the 140mm Spectre Pro The 120mm Spectre Pro is awesome though. i do have the 140mm spectre pro. one thing i can say is that they are really beautiful and moves reasonable amount of air with little noise

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 11 2014, 11:31 PM) Recommend me fan which is 14cm + silent vs high cfm ratio + low power usage for 24/7. No need LED blink blink. If possible, fan can get locally i strongly recommend the bitfenix spectre pro 140mm tuned down to 800rpm using speedfan. before this i was running it at stock 1200rpm which moves a lot of air but also kinda noisy (whooshing sound of the air)

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 12 2014, 07:29 PM) i see their fans behind got many plastic lines, it would be kinda difficult to clean dust using a paint brush. Clem1982 Currently whats the lowest price for Bitfenix Spectre Pro 140mm? Which shop selling? Digital Mall got? actually there's not much dust on those frame. normally the dust will build up on the fan blades which are wide enough to clean. when i got it frm APES, it was rm40 a piece

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 15 2014, 01:02 PM) I checked for the Spectre Pro Rm40 in stock, its pwm. My fan hub no support pwm If you know any other brand apart from spectre, do let me know. Then swap with me? Mine is non-pwm (3pin)

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 16 2014, 07:31 AM) Non-pwm is better than PWM. Why are you swapping them? My stupid gaygaybyte only have one voltage control, the other fan headers r PWM control only, that's why I prefer it =P If you'd wanna deal, pm me

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 16 2014, 09:23 PM) Not sure for Enermax Cluster, I have 2 Cluster 120mm, tried on mine, it won't come out. Don't dare to put too much force in it otherwise spoil. I also have Enermax Magma 120mm, that 1 easily come out compared to Cluster. Use very little effort to pop in and out. I'm currently thinking of getting 3 140mm Enermax T.B Silence (Turbine instead of Batwing). But could not get much info on it, whether its pwm or non-pwm. Not much review/benchmark for this fan. what's the difference between magma n cluster? and where do u get these clusters from? QUOTE(1024kbps @ Feb 16 2014, 09:55 PM) According to their site: http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/pro...a1&lv0=4&lv1=32They have manual mode, 3pin and pwm version. You can get the pwm version if your mobo is Asus that support AI Suite 2, so even pwm fan can be operate on voltage mode. Asus mobo can control pwm fans using voltage?!

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Feb 17 2014, 12:39 AM) Starting from M5A99X i think, or any asus mobo that supported by AI Suite II, PWM fans can operate between voltage mode and PWM mode, that's one of PWM fan advantages, but when PWM fans operate at voltage mode, it will have cold start problem just like any other 3 pins fans. Btw it's not something new, as pwm fan header have a fool-proof notch to let you insert it into 3 pins fan header So i guess you r saying that 3pin non-pwm fan can also work on 4pin pwm header.. But in voltage mode the fan can work but the fan speed can't be controlled right?

QUOTE(1024kbps @ Feb 17 2014, 01:57 AM) Yeap, it works but it will spin at 100% duty on most regular mobo, but latest Asus ROG mobo can auto detect whether if the fan is pwm or 3 pins, because it has a switch on the pwm fan header. while Gigabyte mobo can change between PWM and voltage mode on BIOS, but i tried on their 890FX UD7 only, other mobo not too sure Wow, that means latest mobo fan header can control both voltage n pwm?! Thanks for ur info. I'll need to research more on this

please recommend me 120mm fans using fluid bearing with good static pressure for use on heatsink, also need to be compatible with heatsink fan clips and below rm50. reason: the xigmatek xaf's (sleeve bearing) are starting to produce weird sound after just a few months use

QUOTE(AlanSiew @ Feb 24 2014, 03:02 PM) Don't Sleeve bearing fan! Lousy fan lah! i didnt do enough research when i bought the XAFs, their sleeve bearing sucks!

QUOTE(kherel77 @ Feb 24 2014, 07:07 PM) Sanyo Denki San Ace 9G1212M401 RM49 HEREthanks for the suggestion. the noise is gonna KILL ME QUOTE(amirinz @ Feb 24 2014, 10:08 PM) Guys, I've been looking for a 200mm case fan that has no LED, and preferably black. Among these two, the Bitfenix Spectre Pro and the CM Megaflow, which do you guys prefer? P.S, I'm using the Bitfenix Prodigy non-M case. Maybe gonna change to the Corsair 250D soon. i doubt u can find Bitfenix Spectre Pro 200mm in Malaysia. as far as i know they are non-existent, or am I wrong? clem1982This post has been edited by ntw: Feb 25 2014, 12:53 AM

QUOTE(711726 @ Feb 27 2014, 06:45 PM) Any idea where can I get a good 200mm fan? LED/non LED. Something with decent airflow and static pressure the only ones I know of are CM Megaflow, CM Storm Force, Bitfenix Spectre Pro, and NZXT FS200RB/ PH200LED. QUOTE(xpertwiz @ Feb 27 2014, 07:00 PM) Okay, Thanks for the reply. other than that u can consider getting a 1x4pin to 4x3pin fan splitter which u can control the fan speed using Speedfan or your motherboard software something like this: This post has been edited by ntw: Feb 27 2014, 11:35 PM

QUOTE(Pistolmanik @ Mar 7 2014, 03:06 PM) will it be as good as a fan controller ? because i dont really wanna use my 5.25 bays lol Fan controller u can control the fan speed manually. If u use splitter n connect to mobo, u can use Speedfan to automate the fan speed and thats what I'm doing =p

QUOTE(ronron @ Mar 8 2014, 04:20 PM) oh.ball bearing.great then. I tot it was sleeve bearing btw, may I ask? What kind of situation only need 2k rpm fan to blow? u can get a 2k rpm fan when u wanted great airflow and dont mind the noise. and i guess u r thinking about CM Sickleflow right? they are actually really noisy and doesnt really push that much amount of advertised air

QUOTE(icp @ Sep 15 2015, 05:21 PM) naww,im keeping my ancient fans with my ancient rig, not planning to sell them.. too much memories yo maybe can be used for torrenting movies like _____ materials (fill in the blank yourself) im eyeing on these: 1. SCYTHE Grand Flex PWM 120mm 2. Spectre PRO All White 120 3. or i just stick with F12 PWM, just found out hikari85 selling them any other suggestions? thanks Viewnet has many case fans on display, Noctua/CM/Aerocool/Xigmatek/NZXT/Thermaltake/... macam-macam ada. you can go and test it out yourself. if you are lazy to visit lowyat, and you trust my judgement: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the CM Jetflo are the strongest ones on display there

QUOTE(affirmative90 @ Jan 1 2016, 04:56 PM) Hi Guys, I just built a new rig in Fractal Define R5 casing. It comes fitted with two 140mm fans which has less airflow. I have been a big fan of Arctic F12 fans previously. Now that nobody is selling in msia, do you think its worth to order it from overseas or are there equally better silent fans with better airflow? theme is black and white. Please advise. why u no trust me, no need get Artic la. there are so many other brands now, just go around Viewnet. this weekend? QUOTE(bonez_xy @ Jan 7 2016, 06:08 PM) hye guyz, between bitfenix spectre and id cooling PL, which one should i get? gonna put 2 fans for front intake and 2 for top exhaust. versa H24 case. never used ID cooling before but I tested both bitfenix spectre and spectre pro and they seem to be quite weak when pushing against resistance

QUOTE(bonez_xy @ Jan 8 2016, 01:23 AM) hmm looks like spectre is not a good choice for front panel where there is storage bay there. how about aerocool shark fan? i have tested aerocool shark fan without restriction, the wind is quite strong. no idea about the airflow with restriction though. if 120mm, I strongly recommend the CM Jetflo!! the fan is the strongest I have tested
