Hey guys, just wanna find out some info in here. I called tnb earlier in regards to plasma tv electricity as its stated behind the tv 350w. They said 350w is equal to 3.5kwh (kilowatt-hour). So according to their calculation, 3.5kwh per minute the cost is $0.76cents and thats what it says in tnb website calculator also. So the tv consumes 76cents per minute? shocking.gif shakehead.gif

Lol, 350W is 350 J/s

Convert to kW is 0.35 kW. So in 1 hour, your tv consumes 0.35 kWh

1 day use 8 hours = 2.8 kWh.

21.8 sen / kWh

so 1 day, your tv consume 61 sen

My bill every month is around 300 to 400. 1 plasma tv, 1 led tv (only watch at night after come back from work), 1 air cond running 5 hours max every night, 1 fridge, 1 washing machine and normal lights. TNB people come and check meter, say everything is fine. Dafuq? Something is wrong somewhere.

Very high bill. How many people in the house?

My 1 is RM70. More gadget than you state here.

I think the culprit must be the aircond

It's been awhile since I looked at a bill, lol.
How many total kwh do you use a month?
*
It stated in the bill 923kwh

My bill RM50~60 a month rclxms.gif
No aircond, only use fan, TV 8 hours, air filter 24 hours, computer 24 hours, 1 fridge, 1 washing machine, and normal lightings only rclxms.gif

You better check ur aircond usage rclxms.gif
*
Yes doh.gif air cond must be the culprit. What do u think of inverter airconds? Should i sell off mine and get the inverter aircond instead?

yes, inverter air cond uses lesser electricity, but the installation cost a bomb

I noticed including installation for 1.5hp inverter model is around 1500. Not much difference i see the price.

No guarantee with TNB laugh.gif

If the price still shoots high without aircond, then better file a lawsuit against tnb then as they said the meter is fine..........They definitely played with the readin gof the meter to make the bill show high value

U just a bit brah, some people theres a difference of 100 to 300 bucks. Thats a whopping lot. Many claims this new meter is very sensitive. It sucks up like nobodies business.
