added to nicvoo disadvantages point:
- some model battery design position is sux, when u take out the battery the laptop will not balance, as one of the 4 legs is mounted on the battery btw the service centre is actually quite convenient, as long as high point service centre, it'll be ok... klcc has one high point centre there |

QUOTE(wtm0325 @ Mar 7 2006, 01:32 AM) added to nicvoo disadvantages point: their main service center is at uep subang send klcc o watever they jus dump it there till sumone sends it over to subang. u'll need towait around 3-5 days more if u send to to other palces other then subang if u send straight to subang 3-5 days gau dim - some model battery design position is sux, when u take out the battery the laptop will not balance, as one of the 4 legs is mounted on the battery btw the service centre is actually quite convenient, as long as high point service centre, it'll be ok... klcc has one high point centre there batt prob true but lots of laptops r like tat sum put it at the armrest area till when using it will b extremely hot. hopefully the desings r improving as we speak |

Pros: Good spec., cheap.
Cons: Keyboard is weak and cheap also and it give way too early. Not bad overall, never suffer from any stability problem even for pro-long usage(i mean 8hours/day) and generally very powerfull with their ATI Xxxx series graphic chipset. Worthwhile to get and can dump the unit in 1 year time after that just get their newer release, hehehe. |

Acer user ere.. So far so good. I don't care much about solidness quality coz I ain't gonna use it at construction site. As long as it serve the purpose, then it's good for me. Got money to burn, get the expensive ones as they give better specs.

i bought a secondhand acer and use it till today ... although right now it wasnt that mobile anymore (can refer to http://myfreebsdlife.blogspot.com of what i've done to it)
i believe acer brand name is still a good brand name (it is). compared to others like m-life etc. i cant comment much since i only have a secondhanded acer, and it's an old model. but knowing that it could survive the things that i've done to it ... well i believe acer is good. |
