QUOTE(Justice195 @ Jan 4 2014, 10:13 PM) To all the members here, Did you try S?I have a question to check with you all. Do you feel your car is lack of power when compare to other insight? Today evening i ran on highway. Saw an Insight in front. After i pass through it, the Insight car can quickly catch up on me at 100 km/h The Insight car from behind, cutting to the left, go in front of me and off easily even i' had accerate as much as i could, ECO off, light blue. May i know why? Please help. Pull the gear down to S from D... And at that time, what is your IMA state of charge? Got assist during the acceleration? |

QUOTE(Justice195 @ Jan 24 2014, 09:14 AM) To all the members here, That's very sad to know about bro...There is ONE issue which i want to share, is about OUR car & HONDA MALAYSIA (HM) Story as such: Last months i went for service at HSC. Before service, i had identified my rear left absorber leaking. Thus during service, i informed the SA regarding it since it is still under warranty. Mileage 70k. Base on SA, HM procedure is to wipe out the oil once, will b claimable after 2 leaking. Although bit not satisfied but fine as I had confirm with HM on such procedures. Last week, i found there is leaking again & more serious. I send in again and request for claim. SA told me they will proceed. What i'm surprise is they told me they can only claim 1 SIDE ONLY, REAR LEFT ONLY. To me, it does not make sense how can things which come in PAIR but only can change 1 SIDE? After talking with SA, it is MEMO from HM as the defect absorber will need to send to HM. After putting the car at HSC, I rang up HM on this issue. What disappointed me is HM insist can only change 1 side. I was totally fire up. We are not 1st time driving or buying cars. My experience with other manufactures like TOYOTA etc are, they test and will automatically change/ claim BOTH SIDE,on the same day without "wiping" etc. When we change absorbers, brake pad/ disc, arms parts etc which come in pair, we will change in PAIR, LOGICALLY. The reason is those items are assume to be wear off in same phase. If one of them got issue, defect or wear off, the other side is expecting soon, it is like shoe, u cannot change 1 side, u change 1 PAIR. After talking for more than half hour, HM SA still insist on theirs, sound lounder and don't care about my safety concern. In the end, HSC can only claim one side and I have to go off with 1 side new absorber and 1 side old. I check on the absorbers, they are all made in CHINA, not JAPAN. I don't blame on HSC because they are just following HM memo. Honestly, this is not the 1st time I'm disappointed with HM. My 1st Honda CIVIC, the whole steering rack and power steering pump having issue during warranty, but HM claim WITHIN SPECIFICATION, cannot claim. When they got serious after warranty period, sound become louder, they said cannot claim due to over warranty. I was totally fire up and wanted to file report with respective department, they change their mind and proceed with on the claim and total cost are more than RM10K if pay. 2nd time is Honda Insight. I drive highway daily, minimum 1 hour ride to office & home. when driving at highway, the car slowly slanting one side, when i found the front absorber is weak at one side, check with my company technicians and told to HM & HSC, they claim it is weak but WITHIN SPECIFICATION and deny the claim till now. 3rd time is Honda City which bought last year. My family complain got dry gas smell and went for checking few times . My sis who work as doctor said it is not healthy. In the end, HM still give me the same result. All the air-con components are fine as IT IS WITHIN SPECIFICATION. The gas smell till go on till now. Come on, HONDA MALAYSIA. This is HONDA, where is the QUALITY? We spend so much on our cars, pay more than local cars. What we want is very simple, Safety. A SAFER & CONFIDENCE DRIVING EXPERIENCE, ourselves or with our family. When HM told us to change components during normal service, we change, like our Insight, petrol filter during 40k, even it is still in excellent condition (check by specialist technician at my office). If this simple thing also cannot accomplish, how can Honda or HM compete with others? Even you give extra safety features or function like traction control etc. It will be useless, I think. How can it turn into this? What is the purpose of WARRANTY and SAFETY FEATURES? I feel that HONDA MALAYSIA cannot give me the CONFIDENCE anymore on its' products and services. If this going to be like this forever, it will not be fair to me or to others. It will be last experience with HONDA. I will rather go back to other Japanese car manufactures As for the Gas smell, does it happen when you first turn on the air-con? Will it last very long? I was wondering if the smell actually comes from the Air-con pollen filter? The one with active-carbon normally would cause some weird smell after some time, especially rainy seasons. |

QUOTE(Justice195 @ Mar 25 2014, 11:15 AM) To all members here, Thanks for the info. Remember there is an Insight burn at Penang? Just now talk with my friend, Honda Technician. He said it is due to Petrol filter, which we must change every 40,000 km. The causes may be Petrol filter did not change, causing malfuction or jam, heaten up & shock circuits. I'm not sure how true it is but i think we should follow their recommendation. If anything, we an reason with Honda Malaysia. But that info kind of contradicts... Because i have read a full maintenance DETAILED report of a Honda Malaysia recommendation parts list, and the Fuel Filter to be changed every 80,000KM instead of 40,000KM. Anyhow, What I think is that, the incident could happen to any car at all. It's not just to Hybrid or to a Japanese made or to a Specific Brand. |

QUOTE(STC @ Mar 26 2014, 01:43 PM) Half of Honda Technician know nuts. They are PMR or SPM failee doing the job there. How can the failure of fuel filter can cause fire? The worse case scenario is no petrol to your combustion chamber. Exactly, That's what i mean! If a blocked fuel filter (or strainer) causes fire... It's gonna be like me tell you that my pants get wet with a blocked water tap... QUOTE(kerelbort @ Mar 26 2014, 11:55 AM) Fuel Filter and Fuel Strainer... From what I understand is, it's just a different term being used...This post has been edited by Newgen: Mar 26 2014, 11:36 PM |

Eco mode on all the time for me, unless sometimes vroom vroom.
I notice it's just more than throttle response too! When Eco mode is off I feel the steering is tighter, suspension stiffer and car is lower!Wow.... Nahhh just trying to be funny... Hehehe But yeah, the aircon would be colder because of stronger blower and compressor kick in more often. |
