I bought a Himedia Q5 Pro from Nicety about 2 weeks ago. I find Nicety has good understanding of the product and is able to provide help very well. Throughout the deal, he has shown good commitment and follow-up. A good seller indeed.

So far Q5 Pro has delivered what it is supposed to. However as I was installing more and more apps, the 8G storage gets filled up very quickly. I have a 8G micro SD card installed on the box but I was unable to move the installed apps to the SD card. Every time after I clicked the move to SD card button, everything looks alright. But on restart the app is not moved at all. Would appreciate if someone can throw some light on these questions:

1. Can apps be moved to the SD Card (jist like in mobile phone)?
2. If apps cannot be moved, how can I remove some of the big apps such as Facebook, Chrome, Skype and Youtube? (I tried uninstalling them but somehow they always get re-installed after restart).

I should clarify my earlier message. Maybe the way it was written did not do justice to the box. Q5 Pro is actually a very good piece of equipment. You can read the good reviews and benchmarking scores from other blogs and forums. But from a user point of view, my experience with it is an excellent one. It runs the movies very well, the interfaces are smooth and my family totally enjoys it.

The reason why I asked about the storage and SD card is not because there is a flaw in the box. It is more because I am curious and want to learn more about this new equipment. I am not facing any problem with the box.

Thank you @plumberly and @nicety for sharing your experience and knowledge on the product. They are very reassuring. I will continue exploring this wonderful gadget and learn new things along the way. Hopefully later on I can share what I learn in this forum

No problem.

2 more tips

Get a sub woofer if you don't have one yet. It will give your movie watching and concert enjoyment to another level. Really.

BB
Try 9GAG in Kodi. Forgot where I got that now. Excellent, updated daily showing the latest funny, sad, exciting, sexy etc video clips.

Thank you for your inputs.

Yes, getting a sub woofer would definitely elevate the viewing pleasure. I have an el cheapo one right now. Better than nothing. Will look into better ones later on.

I think I saw 9GAG somewhere in Kodi but did not go into it yet.
