Hello everybody!

Just got my first Himedia Q5II player, and was trying to update the firmware, but it failed.

I then googled a bit, and found this forum. Now I regret that I didn't buy it here :-)

I have the same problem as others here on the forum, the update named "update_dualcore_Q5_en.zip" is not recognized by the player. I tried renaming it to "update_dualcore_Q5.zip", in case I got the chinese version, but it will still not read it. Tried both upgrading from system menu and the reset button.

I have the 1.02 interface, and the reason I'd like to update is that I get chinese text in gamecenter and other places.. I'm guessing I got the chinese version.. Bought it on Alixpress.

Any help would be very much appreciated.. I really would love to have this in english.

I think I might have the english version after all.. The main text in the interface is english.. But most the text in the "Much More" gaming item is chinese.. What is this gaming "store" app? Does it come in english as well?

I really liked the interface and the possibility to download emulator roms and games directly. Would love to have it in english, or at least if someone could post a pic of the screen explaining what the different menues are for.. :-)

Thank you very much for the link in PM.. The firmware worked after renaming it, removing the "_en" at the end.

Very impressive service here, I will definitely buy from you when I get my next box.
