Don't worry, I did aging test with 10 hours continuously and the Q5 still work as normal.

Q5 was by design to use the metal as casing such that the heat generated by the processor could be release very well. For low cost player especially dongle base player, there is no such design which cause the player hang after 2-3 hours of continuous playing.

Please rest assure that Q5 will not be overheat because the metal casing help it to release the heat. If any seller as you to buy USB fans, it is no necessary. It make the entire design looks bad and generate unnecessary noise inside your home.

Good to know.. just curious as no one mentioned it in the previous posts.. i suppose not many people will touch it once installed smile.gif

Thanks. Been working well for me so far. Connects to my NAS effortlessly and plays the movies from there smoothly too (unlike my tablet sad.gif )

Hi! It's me again. I have a question.

When I use LiveTV, it seems to lag a lot but watching from PPS and PPTV seems fine. Anyway to fix it?

No problem, pls feel free to ask.

PPS is using different technology then live TV. PPS using Peer 2 Peer technology where you could noticed the picture quality and performance is better because you can get the content not just from the content server but also from the peer that running PPS. Live TV using Client Server streaming where the single server supply the content to all the clients which cause the lagging. But not live TV channels are equally lagging, some better and some worst it depend on content server. This is not Q5 problem but the technology use by the streaming server. You cannot fix this from the Q5, but you can watch live TV via different apps like PPTV. PPTV stream the live channel and broadcast again via PPTV infrastructure.

Yea, the hand phone security feature is not available in the Smart TV as the smart TV mobility is limited. Mostly the smart TV is stay at home, therefore Himedia do not add this feature in. Maybe could search some 3rd party apps in the google play.
