This is the funny thing with ZombiU. Every reviewer can agree one thing though: The graphics are not outstanding. But it's fine.

The gameplay is the oddpart. Maybe the cricket bat should actually be perishable, even if you start with it. But I think it brings another fair point:

ZombiU is all about how long you can survive. And that's it. That's the only important part.

It's like chasing a high score. The best survivor possible. And then if you get bitten, you know which zombie to beat the crap out of to make sure they are giving you back your stuff.

Or just the 1 life mode.

It is punishing, gratifying, and at the same time, creepy.

if you've played Resident Evil 4 on the Wii before, it will give a similar experience (low ammo and scarcity being the high points). but if you want a story, fast paced action, hero like powers, WRONG GAME.

Likely it'll come with a sequel. Much like Red Steel 2, they can improve by giving a story. but the novelty is going to be the 1 life mode.

At least, this game is a whole lot better than RE6.
