huh?nvr hv tat prob.but d prob i hv is whn i brake, whn car is slowing down to stop, got dis high pitch sound...suspect brake pads wear out a lot already...belum tukar brake pad yet...
*
Mine also got high pitch sound when first brake after long drive (like after highway, 1st brake) or when going down to underground car park the moment before stop. Mine only happened on rear disc brake, so cannot be rear brake pad going to finish, as my front pad also haven't change yet.

Complaint to SC, they say if I want have to Servive the Brake system which charge me about RM40. (Can't remember well, as I didn't take it). End up, they kind enough to help be spray out the dust, which is ...really a lot of dust!

But the high pitch sound still there...-lah doh.gif

Added on November 26, 2012, 11:31 amOur stock rims is really terrible, just one very thin layer of silver (not sure is aluminium or not) cover on top only, and is very very easy get scratch or tear off.

My tyre kena screw last week, so go tyre shop, take out the tyre and patch it from inside. When reach home, notice a deep scratch on the rim.

Same goes to last month when rotate the tyre also get few scratch on the rims.

The scratch condition is worse than my Wira stock rims, after the usage of 15 years. doh.gif

Truth be told, I find the stock alloy rims for the Persona pretty good looking.
*
Haha...ok-loh, for me is not really good looking, but consider good as stock rims. And of course is much much better than my Wira stock ugly rims-lah.

Just the top layer is really too thin! Now's day, everything also cut cost, cut cost..... doh.gif

Changing the speaker? Upgrading to which speaker?
Ya, mind to share what speaker you change? Without change the HU, and additional Amp, do we have any choice?

Thanks for the info. May I know which brand you install and cost how much? Is the result good?

Reason I ask this, due to I have my Pioneer HU 50w, Alpine Tweeter and Denon 6x9 3 way speaker from my Wira. When I try to install the tweeter to my PE, seems to be too soft until cannot hear. Right after I look at the stock speaker only rated 20w, that's why I wonder if I just change the speaker, can the HU able to drive and push out the good result? My those speaker are rated on 80w ~ 120w, previously I used it without amp, and the sound is really satisfied!

If not, then better I wait until the HU kong, then only change whole set.

You have a lot of choice. Just your budget.
*
Budget? Maybe about RM500, but most importantly is worth to invest or not? I mean the cost & the result of changing it. Hope those user who have changed can share some experience... smile.gif

I guest the result can't compare with entry level Pioneer HU (those around RM300 +), as the output is quite high. I just worry the stock HU output is too low, so not worth to invest on changing speaker.

Well, is just my point of view, it could be wrong.... wink.gif

The blaupunkt HU is better than expected. Rm500 is not really that high even for entry level ICE. Coincidently, me and Denion is using the same speaker and setup. German Maestro concept. The front speaker + tweeter only. The sound is very very nice. But the cost is approx 1k.

The reason to change speaker first is that even if your HU output is high, your speaker output is low. So no point. If can of coz get all.
*
Thanks for your advice.

Do you change your HU too like Denion too? Ya, Blaupunkt HU consider quite good among the stock HU.

Personally I feel that the sound is not wide enough, by changing the speaker will improve?

What size of the rear speaker you all install? need to modify to fit in right? guess my old 6x9 speaker cannot use in my PE already...

Nope. I am using stock HU. Stock rear speaker is powerful enuf somehow. So we only change front speaker. Front is 4'' if not mistaken. The different will be someone singing in front of you and someone singing behind of you. So front is more recommended.

You make me want to audition your car sound system already.... drool.gif

That's the one I want to hear. I want to hear how good it can go, without change HU & Amp.

As for Denion one, after change all sure is very good already.
