Hi guys.
I'm Jemy from Bangi. I'm using a September 2011 PE MT (actually my wife's car). Currently clocked at 29886KM ( going for the 30k service tomorrow). I'm very happy with this car since the first day it came out from Proton Edar.
I look forward to join up with you guys to share and discuss.
Cheers.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Nov 21 2012, 04:14 PM) Hey guys, our Campro thermostat sucks. I took mine out, it doesn't open up until around 93-95 Celcius. I'm now trying a custom made thermostat, it's up to 10C cooler while your engine is running. Even acceleration feels smoother for somehow, I don't know how to reason this out yet. What's the reading on your temperature gauge? By the way, what is the margin of error between the readings from the temperature gauge and from the obd scanner? QUOTE(mengsuan @ Nov 21 2012, 04:34 PM) Don't trust the temperature gauge, it is insensitive from 70-95C. It shows the exact point no matter what the temperature show. I use my OBD2 reader to get from the ECU. My temperature is the usual half block from 90C. I have heard from taxis whose engine boiled, but the gauge still show normal. I agree that the temperature gauge can't be trusted. I'm interested to know more with your custom thermostat. My engine suffers from engine knocking during hot sunny days in high load conditions (passing speedbumps with the third gear), maybe your thermostat could help.
