Yeah. The problem is now my sponsor is looking at it from the financial point of view, not from the quality, workmanship etc point of view . Just because the car is considered cheap there's no harm in giving it a good coat of paint right?

I did think of calling the paint job off. I also think that if you don't want to give a proper painting job you might as well not give any . The reason why I'm so wary of the RM1700 job is because the same shop resprayed my dad's Perdana before . Not even close to a year the paint started cracking. They didn't even bother taking the fenders off to paint them separately. Just cover here there then paint . End up paint from body to bumper also sticking together.

Like I said, the sponsor is considering only from the financial perspective  . I can't believe that my dad even says the workmanship and paint quality is about the same for every painting shop. Washed that car for as long as it remained in the household, long enough for me to point out almost every defects. I'll probably try convincing the sponsor for another shop later

Only 2.5+ years. But wimmin driver la. Rear-ended before, side-ended before, front probably kena sikit since the carplate is slightly broken in-front. Front bumper also senget a little since the bottom right pin securing the bumper is bend.  My left side rear passenger door has a much lighter color than the rest of the car. In fact the whole left side, the front and the back is pretty different in color. Rear half part is lighter in color front half part is darker in color. Bumpers' color completely don't match the car at all, probably cause the paint has faded already.

powder lah unless protong scam ppl lah  first premium base the whole car chasis is dip in the wet paint then dry out and use robotic arm powder coat the paint and final coating, it was at Tanjung malim factory facilities not sure about Shan alam plant, PE is manufactured at Tg. Malim so i think should be powder coat, gaga and exora at shah alam....event nowday alot of our house auto gate use powder coated .....

Is it normal for the gap between back window and the car metal to be un-sprayed? My car has this gap in between that has a unspray section (meaning can see the bare metal).

got a noob question want to ask.. proton persona elegance air conditioner system is what model? Denso or SANDEN or Patco? Is it same waja Mitsubishi's air conditioner system (patco)?

either you take back to SC ask them to respry the part (if still under warranty and not cause by others factor)
or buy touch up paint + clear coat to diy repair ....
normal "spray can" paint cannot match the colour, u need to look for the touch up paint for car and choose by the brand of car and your paint colour code.

Little story of my car,

bought it from a KL Hospital nurse, the first batch of Persona, without IAFM one. Reason for selling, got couple of Personas at home already. Sell this Persona to buy Preve.

Anyway, any idea where to get car paint? Can I get it at any hardware shop?  I may know where the color code is located.

lol no need lah, she has a son, son already very successful in selling Nasi Lemak in USJ*. 

Can google lah got couple of nasi lemak pop up and the shop only operates during night time. 

New paint then you gonna butthurt when those "blind" people accidentally knock your car or even got knock at parking.

True . New paint even more butthurt but the best you can do is to avoid parking next to the cars that makes you think the owner's a shithead .
