QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 9 2012, 09:37 PM)
I am sometimes tempted to buy a bottle of Rain X to try.

But many reviews on forum, including my parent's isn't good. It requires regular application otherwise wipers will chatter. Also causes hardening of wiper blades.

My stock wiper, I threw it into rubbish bin, SC said no warranty even I complained since first week. Changed to inexpensive aftermarket ones, now I already feel like throwing it away also.
*
Mine started skipping across the screen even when the application of Rain-X was new. laugh.gif But the water beads up well, so I only use the wipers to clear the screen once in a while if it becomes too blur, therefore eliminating any skipping sound as well.

I saw a seller called limjinchoo or something selling Bosch AeroTwin wipers for RM36 per piece. Those are high-end wipers apparently, so maybe you might want to look at them hmm.gif.

btw, there is less bodykit for persona...thinking add in H-line kit...
*
Yeah, you should add the H-line body kit. Without it the PE looks a little weird. The older looks of the Persona is fine without any bodykit. laugh.gif

hmm.gif. Send for polishing and waxing. RM78 offer from the Automotive Garage sales section, dirtaway. Quite a good deal to be honest. Claying products cost over RM100 doh.gif. Meguiars gold wash etc over RM60 doh.gif. Meguiar's polish also over RM50. Anything associated with Meguiar's are very expensive. So far I can only afford their wash mitt and their microfiber cloths. sad.gif

What noise is the brake pedal making? hmm.gif. Mine when on rough road ( + cornering I think ) something seems to shake and produce a sound like a pedal is pressed and released quickly multiple times.

*

Most of the time city driving only, and a lot of start stops. hmm.gif.

And yeah, I probably can't get a proper reading cause I'm always doing partial fuel-ups.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Dec 10 2012, 12:31 PM)
I'm using RainX since 7 years ago on all my cars. The wiper do seems to judder but then I rarely used wiper coz water beads just drop off and drip down straight. When running on higher speed, the drops will beads upwards, no need use wiper. Those drizzles where the droplets in tiny on city roads, I need to use wiper more often. It does not judder all the time tho...

My city using Aerotwin for years, surprisingly no judder at all using rainx. Applied rainx every 6 months or so. Wiper already 2 years old.

*
Ah. Nice info. I guess I may consider those AeroTwin blades after all. I'm scared that it will get stolen though sad.gif.

Thanks. I might just get a pair of Bosh Aero twin. Although no silicon, it is very cheap to start of.
Aerotwin not expensive enough to attract thieves tongue.gif

Most retailers have it at over RM50 per piece hmm.gif. This one seems to be on offer, and probably made in Thailand too.

From my experience of using it, it is good. Only for my car it causes the wiper to skip doh.gif For the rest of the cars in my house there are no issues. sad.gif

What ATF does our Persona use? Can I just curi-curi change the ATF outside? When major maintenance, I'll let Proton change again.
*
Proton SP3 ATF hmm.gif? Or if you want there's the Proton XP-3 high performance ATF.

Buy from Petronas petrol station or spare parts shop?

Stock is SP3, and XP-3 is optional, am I right?
How much did SC charge you for the XP-3? Will they ask for your choice?
*
No idea on where to get the XP-3. I have only used SP3 so far.

How many bottles will be needed for ATF flushing? If I remember correctly switching from SP3 to the ATF-XP3 should be done after you have flushed the gearbox with ATF-XP3 hmm.gif.

hmm.gif Maybe 5 liters since normal change require 4 liters only.
Not sure bout that but you must work hard to ask around the different SA's lo. Maybe some still have stock.
*
Really? 4 Liters only? The foreman that changed my car's ATF about 2k KM ago said it needs 4.5 litres.

Weird. They used exactly 4.5 litres for mine. Left half in the bottle, bought 5 bottles. hmm.gif.
