Hi Chuah ? i have 2 problems with my tplink mr3420 v1.

1.) When i use  this router it give me half speed, for example if i use  direct usb to pc i get 16 mpbs++ but when i use with tp link i get 8mbps... is there any solution ?

2.) During night time it always get disconnected. Connection last about 40 to 50 minutes and then it get disconnected... any idea ? but when i use direct usb it did not happen.
*
Have u try using open wrt firmware?for me it can boost up the speed and can give stable speed.. smile.gif

The differences is HUGE!
Draytek is aimed for hardcore user where it has loads of function where mr3420 does not have.
*
wow...sure it can boost maximum performance of the 3g modem rite?

Well, that depends on our beloved Maxis tower and the area. Theoretically it will enhance your surfing experience and draytek routers comes with a solid firmware which promises stable performance. You can check it out in here:

The hardchoice is Mikrotik or Draytek now hmm.gif

MR3420 is for beginner which got less budget and not that kind of geeky.

But for the hardcore users, go for draytek biggrin.gif

Since I am resurrecting my ADSL/Fiber soon, might get Draytek and Load Balance my Maxis.  rclxms.gif

what fiber service r u going to add?? smile.gif

I think going for Unifi.

Maxis fiber will be having issue soon since the infrastructure is not owned by Maxis.

Honestly speaking

Changing a router won't make a difference on your speed unless you using cap ayam router.

But a better router will improve the stability which thanks to TP-LINK unstable stock firmware which can be solved through OpenWRT.

A better router is for those who need those extra load balance features and stability which I know the MR3420 is never able to be a hotspot + DHCP router (tried one day 20-30 users and you can see WiFi problem) nod.gif

But changing to a better modem or improving the signal would make significant difference smile.gif
*
hahaha...if still no different whats that mean?as in my case u know the signal r up but speed down and im able to demonstrate the speed today at 7am with direct plug usb port and panel..same cell id which i connect before without panel... smile.gif

Means your modem hate the antenna which do happen in certain case

Eg E367 never works well with panel antenna.

Maxis E372 known to having issue, ddr3 kena before but another user no kena.

or just purely luck differs, wireless RF sometime is really unpredictable.
*
surely becoz of luck lor..no other reason can cause to this...without panel the speed up..my siggy below is the speed of todays morning..7.15 am...im going to sell my e372 + panel..time to upgrade biggrin.gif
