The reason is that Q5II more like an android device like your phone and tablet. The XBMC version you installed of course also Android one.
Did you heard of any tablet got usb cable? LOL
The only thing you can do is move the file into internal storage.
Further, may i know what's the purpose of using XBMC?
If play movie all those, you can just use XBMC itself. If from external drive, then just use default player~
