not sure whether this is the correct place to ask...anyway, certain apps require rooting/ flash..
i understand that rooting/flash will void the warranty?
so rooting/flash at your own risk.. rclxub.gif

thinking of rooting my new note 2..is it worth it?

okay let me get this straight.

First we "root" our device. root means get administrator rights.

then we "flash". flash means custom build android OS.

then we "stock rom". means installing new firmware version.

anybody care to clarify? cause i'm noob. thanks again.

First of all I am trying to understand your broken english and what you want top know ??? When you want to ask something, ask specifically and clearly and not let us guess
Anyway these are my answers and i do not know is this what you are asking for ???

1. Root - allows you admin access. With it you can install custom roms, kernels and modems. You can install apps that need root eg Adaway, adfree, titanium backup, setcpu , etc. With recovery installed you can backup fully and restore fully your roms with all its added stuffs

2. Flash can mean flashing custom roms, modems, or kernels. You flash stuffs thro clockworkmod recovery ( CWM) or using Odin in PC or mobile Odin in phone

3. Stock rom as its name is STOCK rom - you usually flash stock rom 2 ways : ether update it thro OTA ( cannot if phone is rooted n phone must be on official unmodified stock ) or use Odin in PC ( or mobile odin in phone ) to flash it
*
exactly what i wanted to know..hehe not that i write like that. lazy 2 put proper english sentences together. tongue.gif

thanks..

NO NEED to root if you want to flash stock official roms. Just do it directly using ODIN in PC
ONLY custom roms you need root to flash

All these are basic stuffs , answers easily found if you just google for it
If TS start posting such stuffs it will end up a very long FAQ

thks bro..its all clear now. notworthy.gif

have been using iphone too damn long that's why can't find the right answers when googling..

2. double press home button = S Voice
3. holding down back button = on/off MW
