QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Nov 21 2012, 09:37 PM) okay let me get this straight. First of all I am trying to understand your broken english and what you want top know ??? When you want to ask something, ask specifically and clearly and not let us guessFirst we "root" our device. root means get administrator rights. then we "flash". flash means custom build android OS. then we "stock rom". means installing new firmware version. anybody care to clarify? cause i'm noob. thanks again. Anyway these are my answers and i do not know is this what you are asking for ??? 1. Root - allows you admin access. With it you can install custom roms, kernels and modems. You can install apps that need root eg Adaway, adfree, titanium backup, setcpu , etc. With recovery installed you can backup fully and restore fully your roms with all its added stuffs 2. Flash can mean flashing custom roms, modems, or kernels. You flash stuffs thro clockworkmod recovery ( CWM) or using Odin in PC or mobile Odin in phone 3. Stock rom as its name is STOCK rom - you usually flash stock rom 2 ways : ether update it thro OTA ( cannot if phone is rooted n phone must be on official unmodified stock ) or use Odin in PC ( or mobile odin in phone ) to flash it |

QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Nov 21 2012, 09:59 PM) ohh i see. wait, dont we have to root first before we flash/ stock rom? NO NEED to root if you want to flash stock official roms. Just do it directly using ODIN in PCdidnt the manufacturer say it void the warranty if we root? sorry again ah..noob.. thanks for answering these questions. somebody should put these in the first page so that noob like me or other new members wont ask the same thing again n again.. ONLY custom roms you need root to flash All these are basic stuffs , answers easily found if you just google for it If TS start posting such stuffs it will end up a very long FAQ |

IOS users always talk about how smooth IOS UI is which I agree fully. Try putting widgets onto IOS interface than only come and say why Android UI not as smooth as IOS ?
Ever wonder why Apple never bother/attempt to put widgets capability onto their IOS UI ??? Think about it and you will understand why Apple do not want to do it So always comparing UI smoothness with Android is I'd said plain stupid But I must say the NOTE 2 default UI is comparable in smoothness , if not better than even iphone 4s. iphone 5 , no comments as not tested yet. But ios6 on my previous new ipad and present ipad mini is disappointing and smoothness I'd say loses out to NOTE 2 |

QUOTE(mtgh @ Nov 21 2012, 11:08 PM) Right. He should point out what he dislike about it. Maybe there are solutions for it / maybe he is not aware of how to overcome it ? Maybe some of the phone features are default Android and he is not used to it vs IOS ?There is never a perfect 10/10 phone |

QUOTE(mtgh @ Nov 21 2012, 11:13 PM) You mean the MHL adapter - any Samsung authorised reseller has it - make sure you buy the unit meant for Note2 or Galaxy S3 ONLY. Earlier types meant for Note, Galaxy S, S2 will not workThe official price is RM 109 This post has been edited by benny888: Nov 21 2012, 11:19 PM |

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Nov 22 2012, 03:07 PM) Even is SME set, i believe it is not newly sealed. Samsung dealer will first open it for inspection than later stick with the blue sticker. If you want something new, seal and fresh from oven like apple products...i guess very unlikely. Incorrect infoAll my SME sets I bought from retail stores n even online comes sealed with stickers intact You have every right to ask for sealed set My online purchases from directd, satugadget, n item.com I request sealed units |
