My 2nd Ikea kitchen. Posted this in another thread, and sharing again here. Still without tiles though. Everything inc the 80cm SS sink, plus installation about 7k as I bought a few cabinets from the As Is. Bought the top mostly from As IS and during sale, 126 cm for rm60 only. Porcelain sink also from Ikea but bought earlier. Ikea no longer sells porcelain. Think I got a cheap kitchen.

IKEA cabinet is fixed cubical width, so if you need customized width to fit the cabinets into place, i think you cant do it with IKEA

They have planner. I played with that for a few months before finalising my design.

It is our right as customer because we the one who pay after so long save some money..I don't like to deal with someone pushy..they only care for their business deal to be close asap regardless of what can make us satisfy..I appreciate my money because I'm not rich person..so every single penny I belanja..must worth it..I rather do not do any deal with such a contractor or sales person who only care about their profit and commission wise...haha..this is just my own 2 cents.. laugh.gif

That's why love shopping at Ikea. I can even order the display kitchen cabinet from the As Is guy before it was dismatled from the show area. That's how I get my cheap kitchen;). It's just that sometimes a bit malu also of my indecisiveness.

Pragel white stone effect. They disposed off all of the 126cm size, that's why I got them very cheap. Budget too tight to get the solid top. I used Lagan wood top on my first kitchen at the old place, but lazy to maintain. Ripped that off and changed to Pragel before renting out the condo. I love wood, just lazy to maintain. But I'm going to get Numerar oak for my peninsula. My next project is combining Udden on one side (so I get the stainless steel surface for kneading dough) and faktum and the oak for the other side as breakfast bar. May look ugly depending on which side you look at it, but to me it's practical and most importantly cheap. Love the Sternstop island but I'm not very sure of kneading dough on wood. Am going to get the same guy who assembled my kitchen to do that. Is that too much infoa from an Ikea freak?smile.gif
