IMHO, solid wood tabletop is only just to show off. If you always doing heavy cooking, avoid putting solid wood in your wet kitchen. Plus solid wood top really need to put effort to taking care it like oiled it every once a year and so on.

Not sure about Ikea solid wood top quality but I really like the walnut wood. Stain it darker, it match with white acrylic door perfectly.
