Did my first 1000km service today..phew. Ngam ngam 1 week from getting the car. Hitting 8.7litres/100km. Yes, i travel a bit, driving as conservatively as possible as not to rev up to 4k. According to the manual it says not to hantam above 4k rpm for at least 1600km. 2-3k rpm will let you do approx 120km on flats..my 5sen.

Get the service centre to check ..I had them check mine when I went for my service, they said they tightened stuff (joker couldn't tell me what!). Anyway, it did go away (the sound) for a while but it was back within an hours drive. I now suspect that the exhaust pipe is loose (or thereabouts), as whenever I start my engine in the morning, the pipes seem to rattle and this causes a short racket. Back to the service centre again this Friday..for check up.

Tinting..was provided by my SA. Brand was M Gard..checked the receipt with the warranty card (5 years) - Rm 518 for full tinting job. Not too shabby.

Thank you TCSC for solving my issue with the rattly exhaust pipe..had it done on Wednesday, lo and behold..tranquility during my drive. Now waiting for a chance for some proper long distance driving..without traffic. Thought of taking the family up to Camerons or maybe Gua Musang for a day trip. I'm in Ipoh btw. A bit scared to stress the engine with my odo at 2.5k only.

Durn...anyone having the same problem I have now? when closing the boot at just that particular angle you get a loud "creaking" sound. I figure its coming from the top rhs area where the metal rods meet. Have to go down to TCSC AGAIN....at least there's free wifi there..and coffee.
