Hi everyone, been driving VL spec Bronze Gold for almost 1 month now, reaching around 2K mileage. First day got the car, steering was shaking alot when reach around 100 to 110 KPH. Went back to service the next day, no problem so far (Great after sales service).

Hi guys, not sure whether is this a problem. When I first got my car in Dec, I thought the engine was quiet when u're driving.
Lately, I've been hearing a buzzing sound, something like what you'll hear when a motorbike passes by, that kind of high pitch buzzing sound. Not sure whether anyone else heard it? |

Had our Almera for 3 months, just finished 2nd round service. So far here are the problems I've encountered (Our Almera is VL spec, no body kit). Hopefully no more problems in the future (Touch wood
1. Alignment not balanced, causing steering wheel to shake after 90KPH. Found this out on the 1st day of purchase 2. Bearing problem, had high pitch sound after 70KPH. Was more obvious 2 months after purchase 3. Air Con having a loud sound when activated, loudest especially in the morning after car is warmed up. Apparently is normal because Latio is also using the same Air Con system and also has the same loud sounds. Should be nothing to worry about. |

QUOTE(hairu1 @ Mar 21 2013, 11:52 AM) I had my rear/right bearing replaced. Sent to Balakong SC but the SA told me hv to wait for 2 weeks. Then I called cust service and manage to get the parts replaced in less than a week. You may call cust service for further assistance. I had mine replaced in Jalan Kemajuan PJ Service Center, left our Almera there for around 2 days. |

QUOTE(T3ngK0raK @ Mar 22 2013, 04:51 PM) just received call from SC for bearing replacement. Change I think only takes 2 or 3 hours, but had to wait for parts to come in. but after change, everything like brand new the mech there said only takes 2~3 hours to change it...but you did in 2 days? honestly is it difficult to change this part? |

QUOTE(darkdevilrey @ Apr 25 2013, 10:35 PM) it's either almera owner too stupid to provide simple info about their car, eg. fuel consumption Sorry I have to say, although u mentioned "No offense" does not mean u're not being rude. Pls read through the whole forum as the kind people here have already taken time to share their experiences before, no one is obligated to repeat what they've mentioned before. And even if you have new questions, it does not mean that they are obligated to answer all of them, sometimes we just meet questions we don't know as we are not mechanics nor anyone of us represent Nissan. Just my two cents. or they are too fall in love with their car until no reply/response from the owner here. no offense, just curious why simple question no body answer Fuel Consumption officially is 13.9KM/L for Auto and 14.9KM/L for Manual. In last Nissan competition for best fuel consumption, the Almera can reach up to more than 30KM/L (please do not challenge this or ask me how, as this is the official results from the competition). As for your wiring question, for me, I'm not an electrical person so I'm not too sure on your concerns. Perhaps you could ask the Nissan Servicemen to check on whether the wiring is how it's supposed to be? As for the other forumer that mentioned that the Almera is ugly, this is my reply to you: I find that the Mercedes S Class is ugly, doesn't mean I'm right in general. But it might have other good features that people value in the car and that's why they go for it. So if you feel that the Almera ugly, that's your choice, but please don't come in here and try to justify your view on the car on someone else who feels the car is beautiful or normal. I thought it was bulky once and too round shape once, but after some imagination, I feel that after the right modifications on the exterior, it might have a Bentley look. But even before the modification, I come to like the shape, but, hey, that's just me I guess. This post has been edited by Pawsitive Enforcer: Apr 26 2013, 05:35 PM |
