Hi Outsider, i only know Honda is offering 0.88% p.a.
I only know Nissan have Tan Chong Capital loan for 2.38% p.a., but it only applies up to 5 years. Could you please clarify this with your SA? If 0.88% is valid, please let me know... I have yet to book Almera. |

I just test drove it. RIDICULOUSLY QUIET.
I felt like I was in a high end C-segment, until I looked inside. Incredible smooth and quiet ride, but inside is rather ugly. Great car for many people! At such a low price and a little compromise on the interior design, many people will find this car a great buy. For those thinking of getting a B segment, this should be amongst your top choices! |

the NVH of Almera is good and clutch of CVTC also powerful for 1st and 2nd gear, good legroom...
the only thing turn me off is as below, 1.) interior is all plastic, no armrest 2.) Almera VL with music control on steering is poor quality material and design is just not nice. 3.) Almera VL clock shape design of aircond control is abit outdated design. 4.) travel of higher speed >80km/h, car feel like floating |

just get my new Almera, here is my comment,
1. Interior build quality is good, apart from the steering wheels which feel like Proton Saga. At least do not have finishing like poor plastic. 2. Drive is surprisingly good and quiet. 3. Doesn't float like the above poster mention when above 80kmh, but still a new car, doesn't dare go more then 120kmh. 4. Rev around 2k-3k give the best feel or power/fuel save. 5. No Auto lock 6. Wing Mirror with LED doesn't fold. 7. Additional 3.5k get u luxury feel like leather seat, step plate with lights etc 8. Rear door open up near 90 degree, spacious enough for elder people to get out/in easily. 9. Hate the audio system cause is ugly. 10. Overall a love hate car depend on individual. |

Overall a love hate car depend on individual. for me, my comment for almera is 1. interior design is ulgy, especially at front passenger area, and the plastic feel like local car, but when u knock feel hard no like proton 2. drive s quiet, but havnt try on bumpy road 3. i drive til 140km/h, will feel float, i think 110km/h is stil ok 4. i think when u drive slow, u will feel the car is underpower, but when rpm reaches 3.5k and above u feel the power in the car 5. now all new car will not include auto lock, due to jpj set new rules, in case accident, cant open frm outside 6. side mirror cant retracable, one of the reason i choose vios 7. can customize for car by adding package, and all ori, and impul bodykit juz add rm1500, 8. rear roomleg is big, u will feel car is longer, but no wider 9. the dashboard is ugly. the reason i didnt pick almera cos with E variant, come with only 1 airbag, and almera is still new in malaysia, donno reliable o nt, in the end, i choose vios instead. |

For adding 1,500 you will get the euro bodykit not the impul,, Impul need to add nearly 7k, The different is sport rim and front grill,, impul with 16inch rims and impul front grill My personal taste, euro bodykit enough |

I did a test drive almera just now...
Pros 1. pickup still there even though with 1.5cc and 4AT 2. roomy leg space at rear seat 3. finishing quality 4. roomy rear bonnet 5. light steering wheel (suitable for city drive) 6. remote trunk release Cons 1. rear seat no enough for 3 person comfortably 2. 1 Airbag for basic spec 3. Need fork out RM3k-RM6k for recommended accessories and RM1500 for IMPUL bodykit 4. 1000kg kerb weight (no suitable for high speed) 5. 4AT transmission 6. small side mirror 7. lack of features 8. GPS system required external SD card to operate with Overall: it still a good car to afford by most of city driver...  |

i tried the almera with 110km/h, it is running at 2.5k RPM.

This car is quite silent. And I heard from de SA gt stock in factory nw. Can get de car 2 to 3 week time, don't know sure ma as I saw their FB quite lot of ppl complaint for late delivery

I've ordered the VL spec during the launching. Car will arrive next Wednesday.
Interest 2.45% HLB., 9 years. Package = VL + Leather seat + Navi. Did not get the Tint as I feel it's too expensive. Did not get the BK as wana have the elegance look 1st. Will only get BK after sometime. |

Just test drive this today in raining condition. Grip for rear wheels is not very good when negotiating corners - I think it's probably suspension instead of tyres. Salesperson claims there is no problem for the IMPUL version - probably getting the IMPUL suspension system is recommended. Noise insulation is pretty good and rear seat leg space is rather spacious. Ugly dashboard but that might be a personal thing.

V has front fog light, 2 air bags, alloy rims, plus some chrome accessories inside.... E got the most bookings now im wondering i should get V or E, E has to wait longer (until late Feb or early March), V can get after 1 mo. or 1 mo. + |

hi all.. i have just booked the e spec auto almera today....
but the speedometer design was somehow very weird looking... too classic.. (due to budget constraint.. cant afford V or VL) XD wanna ask is the speedometer has instant fc display? what kind of info will be diplayed on the speedometer? do anyone already got he/she e spec almera... mind to share me a pic of your speedometer nite view pic? thanks.. |

Almost RM80k.....
IMPULS bodykit RM1.5k (50% discount). Navigator (RM1.8k), different one from the original which is quoted at RM2.8k. But, I haven't seen it yet, so can't commend. LED signal lights on the wing mirrors, door visors, trunk tray and sport pedals. |

Never have any problem with the speedometer yet. I know the quality of latest Proton car models has improved, but still not keen on them. Indeed, if bro look for higher performance car, almera is not suitable,
Nissan car normally offer a comfort and quiet engine ..Almera is more suitable use for city drive especially if u stay in car longer daily. |

Received my Almera VL + Impul B/Kits + Premium Navi Package last week....
Overall : Driving is very smooth n comfortable ride.... NVH is good... Mileage - Not yet fnsh 1st tank... Interior space very impressive... But should come with better tyre e.g. Bridgestone (original continental) |

It's not a pretty car, not the kind that makes you go "sh!t I have to have one!!" until you actually sit in it and got floored by the cabin space.

I’m the owner white almera E with body kit.
Already done 1st service at SC. Max speed I can get 150km/h with 3adult & 2 kids inside. I think it can go further but me don’t dare to press the pedal further deep more & can’t stay long at that speed, I love my family. Actually I bought this car not for racing with everyone on the road in the first place. It is about comfortable with my small family (with 2 kids) for mid range & long range (3~5 time per year for JB to KBharu). With the space, engine quiet, changing gear very smooth, FC, fresh look on the road & practical especially for the cup holder (for me & my kid). Even it’s too simple for the interior, it’s better for me. Normally when I’m driving, I only focus on road not the gadget inside the car. My wife & kids always goes to sleep already. Initially, I’m going for forte but the budget constrains (70k only). I really don’t like waste my money on car but for housing yes…. Vios – everything is GOOD for me except the space. Preve - cant trust the quality anymore for the time being, (waja experience for 6years). Need to move on to something new. If you will get married & have family with 70k budget, I recommend this car. Hi All,
I tried my Almera VL spec at KL - kuantan - Kl with one full tank fuel left 2 bar with fuel warning indicator on when I reached KL home about 533km reaming 30KM..I tried to cruised to 180KM/h for a short distance...about 2 minutes I think...hmm..happy with the FC when going up karak high way the performance was satisfied..me and my friend and a fully loan luggage(2 programmer about 20kg,trolley,and some bags which is around 2kgs)I drove consistent of 120km/h to 130km/h...the RPM WAS ABOUT 3000rpm Thks Added on January 5, 2013, 1:56 pm QUOTE(ckeeyuen @ Jan 5 2013, 01:14 AM) any almera owner found the rpm hestitation around 1k rpm wen deaccelerate? Got my new ride since Friday. So far so good!

Hi guys.
New to lowyatt. Been driving vl spec for 1 month now. Clocked 2.5k++. So far so good. No obvious rattling from dashboard, fc good, quiet cabin, pickup slow but im ok with it..nk lebih tekan lebih jer.. The only Weird experience is the keyless entry...sometimes suddenly when open door it goes to panic mode...which is rather annoying.anybody experiencing the same thing? |

Hi everyone, been driving VL spec Bronze Gold for almost 1 month now, reaching around 2K mileage. First day got the car, steering was shaking alot when reach around 100 to 110 KPH. Went back to service the next day, no problem so far (Great after sales service).
Love the quietness of the engine (don't mind the pickup is abit slow), and the great leg space. Ideal for small family car |

Hi all friends here, I am owning a VL spec for a month already. This is my first time owning automatic transmission car.
Almera has the function of the OD off if you press the OD button. By default, it does not light on until you press the button. I am confused, for normal driving(not overtaking), which mode should I use. Thank you, hope you guys can advise |

my family has one that has just been collected two weeks ago. yesterday the ABS light went off. sent to SC. first they replace sensor but the light came back so now have to go more in depth. maybe wiring don't know if this is common but the QC is quite bad |

mine was white...coz it has black color on body kit...so it better to have contrast color..
plus this brilliant white really make this car look luxury.. up till now, it's been 1.5 month n i must say, it's very comfortable driving this car… no problem till now…peace of mind… |

Went to petrol station to check the air pressure of the tyres of my car. Found out that the pressure was >300 kPA. Recommended to put 230/210 kPA for front and rear if 1-3 passengers. They put >300 kPA!!! No wonder my car was so bumpy!
I think the mechanics in Malaysia really like to over-inflate the tyres. Wonder why.......  |

It's not good to over-inflate your tyres. Your car will be bumpy, but more importantly your safety will be compromised. The over-inflated tyres will have less grip as there is less contact surface between the tyre and the road.

Hi guys,
Can any almera current owner help me pls? How much(rm) for a full tank and how many km's can u get out of it? I am a social worker who travels to cheras from klang everyday. Currently my viva can give me 420km/full tank(rm60). Just got a baby and the carbis too small too load all the things. Looking to get a bigger car. Thanks and appreciate your kind advice guys... juz got back to JB from KB.
go & back it just RM200 of Ron95. my old waja should be RM300. maybe due to cc is difference. But, driving was smooth and comfort. This is what I like the most. Going back to JB, many time I overtake car & lorry using overdrive button. Even the rpm increase compares to normal driving, but for me it’s still quite & pickup also become better. I notice that when moving 80~90kmh, press overdrive button, zaaassss there she goes…easily can reach 120kmh. But from stand still using overdrive button, almost can’t feel anything until reach 50kmh… |

Most importantly, the price and the brands spoke to me. After pondering it over i choose it over Rio. Reason? Brand. Comfort. Reliability. |

had a chance to drive and sit a passenger site of Almera (manual)...(my in-law car)
drive; engine is silent, smooth. - not so aggressive vs vios. - Good FC.(due to engine characteristic i guess...not too aggressive, so safe fuel) cosmetics; despite what u all say, (at least, for me) old man taste. fugly mang. - dashboard is fugly...obviously the aircond vent.. - door trim (obviously the internal door handle) is fugly. feel wierd to handle. - seat is not really comfort(im a quite big guy...) maybe skinny ppl will suite well. - outside looking? seriously? My SA offered me Maybank 2.49% p.a., just made order today, n will know the final offer once bank approved it.
but according to pic above, the 2.48 only for loan amount from 40k-60k, means only the Almera E... i think interest rate might b slightly higher for above 60k loan amount. |

Guys...beware and alert when you going to jalan ipoh for car service, especially on Sunday. Below is my story
'Today is Chap Goh Mei, but i am not happy at all to celebrate it due to the service provide by HQ jalan Ipoh branch. I just get my Almera car before CNY, after calculate it less than a month. Today i doing my first 1000KM car service after that will go to buy 'Yee Sang' to celebrate last day of CNY. Guess what...when i collect my car, the front bonnet just upper of Nissan Logo paint is rip off/gone, dimension is about 1cm. Since today is Sunday, the guy told me will wait for tomorrow so that he can discuss with his supervisor for solve this. I do hope can get good respond and solution on HQ site. I do hope their car service team is more alert and take care of the car when send in for service...consider today is my un-lucky day and hope it won't happen again...new car less than month become not perfect and no mood to celebrate it. I won't consider go to HQ jalan Ipoh for next service again.' |

I am planning to buy E variant, but struggling which colour to chose. Not sure to take bronze gold, twilight grey, white or silver.. @.@
& also struggling to add BK or not. Personally I feel bronze gold & twilight grey has to add BK to look nicer; while silver & white both looks nice even without BK. Pls correct me if wrong.. I am struggling now.. & pls share if there's any method / way to make decision for colour.. |

last I heard, the BK rear bumper will be hitting the exhaust pipe, causing "kat kat" sound. Is this problem still exist? Or there is solution already?

So nice with IMPUL pakage or just add the skirt only. I'm not choose White color because last time used white car. Surrender for washing and polishing. |

IMO, i'll prefer Bronze Gold, bit classy n nice colour (n good with dust & watermarks too, not so visible), would choose grey if it's slightly darker like Teana's Deep Amethyst Grey, the Twilight Grey is bit light for my liking.
White n Black only look sporty with BK. ^^ Silver bit normal n boring for me.. haha... |

recently i just heard noice coming from exhaust at 70kmh. then, i turn off radio n move standily then i can hear the noise from cabin with a/c is ON. it's not loud but wanna know becuase before this never heard of it. clock at 5k. already 2nd service. can hear before & after service. note-driving at 100kmh also can hear the sound but very slow.. is it normal? |

Guys...here is the latest news on my case, supervisor promise me to repaint the whole bonnet but need to bring car stay there for 2 days...sigh
another news...for those who want to do some DIY touch-up paint for Almera...the paint is here...i just got mine Bronze Gold...price is RM49.90 here is the scratch of bonnect

Hello all! Need some decisions. I'm planning to get the E manual version w/o bodykit. As in comes with steel rims, I'm planning to put on some 16 inch black rims & tint the windows black too. What do you all think is the beat colour to get? Not planning on black anymore as I already got a black Polo at home. Silver or bronze gold?

Hi All, Greetings and good day to you.
I am the new owner of this good car. I've a trouble to share on. You see, during my trip from Puchong - Terengganu, my tyre bursted. I suspected my Conti is overheating due to non-stop-no rest to the destination. No big deal. Haha. Lucky got spare. The problem is, one of my wheel cap is missing. Asked many tyre shops, very hard to find. They suggested to change to new rims. But i find Almera alloy rims isnt that bad. Can i just buy it at service centre? I've looked back at the whole pamphlet promotional package thing on the paper. rm800.. |

Booked a silver E spec manual Almera with Impul Bodykits earlier today in Puchong showroom. Gonna slap on some 16" rims when I get it. SA gave me a choice of rm500 cash or other goodies, took the rm500. Real nice person. Can intro if you all want. Can't wait for it!

Guys wana ask .... if wana lower down our car .... what can we do? Change d suspension? Will it affect the confortness of our car?

If I'm not wrong you just change the suspension (spring) & it'll be lowered. Yes the ride will definitely feel more bumpy but you'll get better handling. Hi All User,
Please be advice be aware of your Almera Rear bearing and front brake oil leakage.My Almera had come across this problem rear Bearing during 1k to 5k interval and after 5 k front brake got noise. Thks |

VL gets intelligent key, Push Start, auto climate, on steering audio control. The rest same as V. |

Anyone planning to get paint protection coating?
or any has done d coating on your Almera (or other cars)? I'm planning to go for paint protection coating as not from rich family (sob.. sob.. ), wanna keep my ride handsome for as long as possible.I've shortlisted a few in my mind... below is a blogpage which listed most of the reputable/reliable detailers in m'sia. if you consider between Almera, Preve, Vios and City, what's the pros and cons?
I tried on Almera and it's really spacious. But interior wise so-so. Since all the cars are in similar price range, it's within my budget. but not sure which one to go for. Kinda feel Almera is worth the value among those 4 cars I mentioned above. |

Really depends on what you're looking for.
Almera is more a spacious family car that ha good fuel efficiency. Definitely not a "driver's car", not much fun as Fiesta. |

Hopefully by the end of the month I'll be able to count myself as a Nissan Almera VL owner. I added the leather seats, GPS and tinting package. Well, not exactly for me to drive, I got it for my mum. I'm hoping for a trouble free ownership experience so I don't have to teman her to workshop often.

Hi guys, not sure whether is this a problem. When I first got my car in Dec, I thought the engine was quiet when u're driving.
Lately, I've been hearing a buzzing sound, something like what you'll hear when a motorbike passes by, that kind of high pitch buzzing sound. Not sure whether anyone else heard it? |

Just had my 2nd free service done today!
Very impressed by the service of TCM. I called the service centre in Balakong yesterday for reservation and after a short while, I received a sms about the confirmation of reservation. Nice! To all Nissan Almera owners.. I want to ask a question. My Almera was E spec and i plan to change my standard rim 15' to rim 16'. How about the performance and FC of the car if i change the rim. The rim was made from Taiwan.. Can anybody give the feedback

Oh ya heard that first 1000km driving is very important as it will determine ur efficiency of engine such as fc n performance in later time ... Is there any precaution ?
