Agree.
Why still support proton when they are the root cause of us paying so much for non Malaysian cars all these years...
I not so agree. Not Proton problems. Just That Timbang use Proton as an excuse to earn more by raising foreigner car tax.

Depends on your preference lo...
Nothing is perfect in this world.

Added on December 25, 2012, 9:57 pmReally not keen on Proton cars anymore.
Used to own a Iswara years ago. During a year of ownership, there were a few times had to change broken door handles, power window "gun", and one time the speedometer seized to work.
My current ride is a Hyundai Accent (previous model). Although their quality is not on par with the Japs, but the door handles only broke after more than 7 years. Never have any problem with the speedometer yet.
I know the quality of latest Proton car models has improved, but still not keen on them.

I not keen Proton also. But after test drive, Preve CFE is totally different than the normal car on the road. If u wan to know the different, go have a test drive cause it is free anyway. After 9 months Preve in the market, i did some research for common problem on Preve. Just found few problems that happen in this model and it is solve in newer the batch. This is why i am considering Preve. No doubt Almera had the most reliability after all.

Agree x 2
Ask them not to cheating themselves. If really cannot compete in global market, just close shop. Dont burden us with selling us expensive car. And then indirectly benefits some xxx parties....
Added on December 25, 2012, 11:07 pmDont just look at the car. You also need to consider about their after sale service. Dont get TL later even you get good car but very bad service. Remember you have to go back to do service time to time. You need to do survey by yourself I cannot comment much here. Because it has been 8 or 9 yrs I didnt go back to proton SC.
My experience 8 yrs ago, I sent for minor service, they charged me normal mineral engine oil rm50 and labour charge rm90. I asked them why, they told me they do many many inspections. But they only spend 1 hour to complete minor service. This is my personal opinion. you need to survey. It was my cheap Iswara car but they can charge unreasonable.
When came to major service, they charged me rm600 for my iswara....

lol no doubt older proton model is problematic car. But it is really getting better for newer version.

hi bro,
I agree with you....Nissan offer comfort for almera...n performance wise...jz normal
Agree too. Just the performance that drove me away. If the performance can match a mitsu engine waja, no doubt i will go for it. I just felt that the Almera performance is sluggish when i floor the pedal.
