Just finished a ride..sad thing is I can't finished the 85km loop. My rear tyre blew up, and I meant the sidewall blew up together with the tubes inside. And it came with a nice little explosion as well..
Stranded at the 40km mark in the middle of desert and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna walk for the rest of 45km towards the starting line. Two italian riders stop by to help but they dont bring any spare tyres..
15 mind later, lucky me a support car was available and that's it, I'm saved.
P/s: it was my first puncture after 1000km and the gp4000s mileage was only around 400km I think..shit happens, and I'm lucky to have a support car for the ride..it'll be worst if the tyre blew off in a fast mountain descend!
I'll post the picture tonite, it's no tubular but why the heck did it exploded?

Any particular reason why you are running wider tyre at the rear wheels? More comfort? I hope my bike can fit wider tyre as well..could try out new things like yours. See how it feels like..

ive been wondering what tyre pressure do you guys use on normal ride?
for me the comfort one is 90 psi..I used to ride with 110psi for every ride but it gaves me a harsher ride especially when I changed to FR0, hence I lowered it down to 90psi for every ride..
Only here in my new place where they have smooth surface for the whole 85km loop that I pumped up back to 110psi for every ride as the smoother the surface, the more higher I can use the pressure for a better speed...correct me If i'm wrong

Butthead, you are right the chart I posted is not showing any value on performance just to how the riders weight and the tyre pressure suitable. Anyway Garmin Edge 900 is due out soon..luckily I didn't get the 800 else should be banging my head on the table

Haha my friend and I planned to do that whatever cycling tours available. Perhaps the TDF routes, or Rapha cycling tours etc since we already halfway to Europe..
Hence the need of a GPS enabled device. Maybe need 1-2 year of planning, for fitness and also financial.

I use strava for statistical purposes only. Heck you can be KOM on any segments just by riding a motorcycle, nobody knows. I know because I accidentally have KOM before as I forgot to turn it off after my ride.
It's good with not too much details on your workout analysis, I've yet to use the Premium features but am planning to do so soon.

IMO all the data matters especially if you serious in improving on your fitness. Without the data it's hard to quantify your improvement. That's is all to it. Just don't forget the joy of riding. We are not a serious athlete after all and not riding for living.. Well to each his own Added on December 10, 2012, 5:30 pmJust found out about this, maybe I'm a bit outdated but kudos to Malaysian! http://www.cyclingtips.com.au/2012/11/kick...ual-helmet-cam/This post has been edited by mrjgx: Dec 10 2012, 05:30 PM

Guys check this out, there are few 2nd hand bikes brought over by some dudes from Germany and their price is quite tempting..it's like they bought in bulk, bringing it here in Dubai and sell it. My friend just bought a Giant from them..you can try looking in their FB page 3GProcycling..
They have storck, pinarello, everything..the most recent one is colnago c50..
But I'm not keen enough for a 2nd hand products hence I'm not buying anything lah..

Changed the cassette already. The chain links not been reduced..so I can swap back to my 32T with no issue on the chain.
The wheel doesn't need truing at all..landmine proof, but why the heck after servicing the rear hub now damn loud? What they did to my hub?

QUOTE(Mac Wai @ Dec 12 2012, 07:54 PM) Did I commit the cardinal sins of cycling? While preparing for a fast descent, I try to be lek lek.. flip both the front and rear derailurs simultaneously for higher gears, next thing I know, my chain stuck between the stem and small crank...erh! manage to put it back on albeit a little messy. What should I know for noobs like me? Perhaps not to change it simultaneously? Well it happened to me but it's like once in a blue moon..

anyway im liking the new hub sound..used to sound loud already but now more louder... anyway my new 25mm ultremo zx fit nicely with ample of clearance..now it look so fat and heavy looking..pumped it to 90psi..or perhaps I can go lower? im currently at 65kg..can i use let say 70-80 psi or not recommended? can't wait for the front tyre to kaput..so I can changed to 25mm for both wheels, saves the cost of having the wider zipp 303..might be not the same feeling but it feels wideeee might not be using 4000's anymore..bad experience... Aiya p2k so fast..but in a peloton should be ok maa unless you have to do your time in the wind then it's gonna be a tough one. Anyway, I'm trying to change my saddle, perhaps to fizik arionne vs (I think vs is the one with parit in the middle of the saddle). Want to have some sort of blood flow release at the parit..prologo doesn't have parit. Anyone else using this arionne before can provide comments? QUOTE(butthead @ Dec 13 2012, 03:36 PM) from pressing with my numb fingers... the foam density is harder on the fizik hence the need for a longkang... the prologo has active density foam or some sorta shit li tat that helps without the longkang... Yep it has this active density foam..but still it is pressed againts your precious..long kang OTH won't press any hopefully. I dunno perhaps have to test first as the shop has a demo saddle for testing..all demo saddle from fizik in yellow color
