sort of normal... you can reduce the squeal by toeing in the brake pads

user posted image

this being said means that you will cause uneven wear on your pads

did i say shoe with clips... i mean straps...

in the old days pre clipless pedals, riders used to use straps which is an inconvenience as they needed to fiddle around to get strapped in and emergencies are practically a no brainer confirm hit the ground case..

that is up until clipless pedals came along in the form of the first pair of look worn by no one else other than the badger himself..

Sorry to confuse you, and just to clarify my blunder and confirmed I'm a noob. I actually mixed up between pedal clip (strap) with shoe cleat. What you meant Clipless means just that, without the clips but cleats to adhere to the pedals. sweat.gif

Added on November 29, 2012, 11:05 pmHa ya.. been raining every evening,no chance to ride. Dun ask me to ride in the rain as I am made of paper, cat instinct! Need to do some night riding.
I already have a rear blinker but that is to dangerous for me facing the on coming traffic.
I am going to buy front lighting for this purpose. Bosses here, should there be any particular area of lighting gear to look out for and also to avoid.
Ek.... I am sticking out my arm to you sir... Jab aaway!

Nope Im in Dubai where everything is super expensive! there are weekly rides, I joined a few of their rides already, you can pick your own distance and group, each with their own set of avg speed, and they are pretty well organized smile.gif
And so I watched how to fix the headset on Youtube and seems that it requires some sort of special tool to hold the upper and lower part of the headset together, before knocking the steerer wutever. As you said there will be risks, I better sent it to shop and bear the little cost rather than a major cost should my carbon bike damage during the process. I need to cut off the steerer as well.

Now I know what makes a bike, a pro bikes always look cool and sexy. A slammed stem, and a deep wheel. That's all needed. Heck even without a deep wheel, a slammed bike will always look sexy no matter what, provided your seatpost is not as level as your stem..

No need a new bike  whistling.gif

For me, the definition for a sexy bike is a bike where a pretty chicks is on top of the saddle. icon_rolleyes.gif

school term ending... have to do some PR'ing to pull in new students for new school term next year...
because it is far apart or because it is way too big?

Added on December 7, 2012, 9:49 am

i don't trust anyone to mess with my pedal spindles... it's the only one thing that is keeping me on my crank arm and preventing me from jamming my balls on the top tube...

itu maciam... fly to US holiday a bit bit while getting a new bike is a viable solution?

they have lots of titanium frame builders there...very custom and all the tubes are hand cut and hand mittered... and also hand jigged, hand assembled, hand welded, hand polished... and other than giving the bike a hand job... i don't know what hand they can give it anymore...
*
Can I suggest... Hand some look...ah?

I have the same question too, any particular reason to use wider tyres...anything to do with weight of the rider.. ??Alberto and Sagan on either ends of the scale as an eg. comes to mind.

I read somewhere that they recommends 15% tyre drop (against gird height) for optimum comfort and performance. Do you buy this theory? Therefore a 23c should have lower rolling resistance compared to a 25c base on surface contact, although minimal.. ya ka?
