Q1 - usually ur hands get tired and loses the strength to pull hte brakes, quicker than the brake to lose its grip. this happened to me when i descended genting. there was a bit of brake fade. but not much.
Q2 - i've only seen this happen once. years back. a rider was in the slipstream of tanker truck. going high speed (for a bike). and his bike wobbled violently, and stabilized when he stopped pedalling and slowed down. he didn't pull the brakes
Q3 - normally u don't shift gears whilst standing
Thanks. Now trying to read up more on speed wobble and hopefully, it's something I only read about and not experience.

dude..shoes for wide feet people is Bont. I am wide footed myself. Make sure you choose the wide version, there will be 'W' at the sizing specs to indicate it is the wide version..I use Bont A-two...and it has plenty of space for my wide forefoot. It is the only shoe where you can find the shape is wide starting from the toe, very unconventional. Other shoes will have a pointy shape towards your middle finger. (feet)
It's quite stiff, on a longer ride I'll had a numbness on my left foot..perhaps not moulded properly enough...just give it a try. mine is Europe 45 W
I've also read about people have numbness doing long rides in cycling shoes. Is this due to improper fit or more conditioning ? Thanks for the sizing guide, will visit LBS first to try it out.

knowledge that it should stop is not to be taken for granted... no super late braking...pls
the wobble will happen whether it is 30, 40 or 70kph... so, it is just luck if you wanna call it if it hits you...
best is not to force shift and dump massive loads of gear at one go while applying heavy loads onto the drivetrain...
yes, definitely no last minute braking. Still getting used to the speed downhill. Manage to hit 50+ kmh without much drama except for the fear of not being able to stop in case of an emergency.

working near a bike shop is not dangerous... having no self control on the other hand is...
hahaha that's so true. Luckily I've managed to hold back for so long while waiting for Xmas sale
