Sorry for the late reply. The DAC of D4 and Cricri+ are clean, while E17 type is more on the 'fun' type.
Amp wise E17 and Cricri+ is on par, while D4 is more neutral.

We have the newest D42 don't forget.

So DAC for D42 and D4 should be similar right and only the amp are upgraded in D42. Amp wise, how about D42 compared with D4? BTW, spec wise for the DAC, D42 or JDS Labs ODAC are better? Too bad missed KLAV, missed DACport RM 559.

I've just been given a pair of AKG K141 STudio (Black & Gold) headphones. It's about 10 years old but it seems to still sound pretty good. However, the headband seems to have lost it's elasticity and the ear pads need to be replaced. So i would just like to know if i could bring it in for servicing?
