I see that can open a HLB basic savings account online. Is it completely online from end to end or eventually still must go to branch?
How about annual fees for the account (or debit card), is it completely zero or will be charged on anniversary date? |

I think rule of thumb for all Malaysians is to open a free Maybank BSA account first. Make this your "forever" bank account, but not necessarily "primary" bank account, which may change depending on various factors. Ramjade liked this post

Rubbish why waste time. But being charged a debit card fee is normal. If don't want, walk into any of the 8 full fledged banks and ask for a BASIC SAVINGS ACCOUNT with ZERO ANNUAL FEE debit card. Banks are obligated to offer this, but there are some minor drawbacks such as limited to 4 free ATM withdrawals a month. LoTek liked this post
