Let me tell you MY issue
1. Restrict access to engine port form below, hence u need to remove whenever u want to check something/service
2. The way it is secured is VERY important. Mine was secured by some screws, and after a high speed chase with a Golf, the screw came out (the downward wind force too strong) and part of the panel was dragging on the ground. Now my mech drilled 5~6 extra holes and secure it with thick thick cable tie, so they cut and replace everytime i service there.
Other issue might include
1. Any whistling sound at high speed due to design/vents?
2. Any cooling problem? ie will it restrcit airflow, how good/proven is the venting/design
3. WHat is the purpose?
ANyway just my 2 cents, i'm sure someone will think otherwise hehe
this 1, wow.... talking from ur experience

my main priority is to protect my engine compartment...
