help guys..
i was using my ibook 4 presentation when it's color suddenly decreased.. i mean ..it looks as if it does not have enough colors .. when i restarted it.. first the color was red(unusual).. then blue as usual..
This only happens to the ibook's monitor ..the projector still projects good vibrant colorss..

Anyone know what's the problem???
tq in advance for your help.. doh.gif

oi... dun lar... if under warranty, then no charge... if out of warranty, then yes, we will charge...

Conscript78, to eliminate software issues, backup your data, format the hard drive and reinstall your original software. if that doesn't fix your problem, then bring it to MacAsia Service Center

Just pop in your Software DVD, follow a few instructions, and leave it for two hours.

kacang compared to windows.

though it's easier than windows, it's not that simple, different version of OSX differs slightly.... and you don't really know which OSX version he meant....

threadstarter, i recommend the following link, go to Software Manual, download the pdf manual of your relevant OSX version....

Apple Support Manuals (linked)

i have seen that happened only once before.. One of my colleagues just bought an ibook and the colours acted strange on the first day she bought it. the shop couldnt tell what was wrong even after re installing software.
i myself had nver seen anything like it.. looks like a bad monitor production batch maybe.

best to return to shop la.

well take my advice, before your warranty end, 2-3weeks ahead. send your iBook back to service center and insist them to take a look into this issue & check thru your ibook. you dont want it to happen when ur warranty expired.
