To all music lovers AC!D has released new version. Have a look here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...822&postcount=1

Blend in very well with Siyah kernel and the quality of the output has raised above the bar.

Forget about voodoo. I don't think it will be better than this for S3.

Hmm.. wondering if it will works with wanam 4.3..  hmm.gif

Shouldn't be an issue. Mostly those did the installation majority of them reported good.

The audio engine for this version is just fantastic!

Use the aroma version as it will guide you during the installation.

Alright. Does work with Revolution HD?  hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
So far no mentioned of it in the thread yet as the developer had just opened a new thread just for this new version.

Probably you may want to follow that forum to check on it further whether it works with Revolution HD.

i flashed before, but dono how to use it. how to i enable it or tune it? does it work with 3rd party player app like poweramp or playerpro?
*
Download the latest version 5 (suggest to use aroma version) which are not buggy and use cwm to flash it. During flashing make sure you select those related to S3 (Samsung).

Once you have successfully installed, there is an apps name "noozxoidelabs", launch it to configure the "Line-Out Audio Monitor".

Go to system settings>sound>music effect>, you will see Music Fx, Noozxoidelabs, and probably DSP Manager. Select Noozxoidelabs.

This mod works very well with Poweramp and Playerpro. I am using Playerpro though I also have Poweramp as I find Playerpro blend very well with the iem I owned.

If I am not mistaken, if you use Poweramp you have to un-tick DAC in the option.

If you are not using Siyah kernel, play with the equalizer settings in the Poweramp/Playpro.

For my case I set the equalizer in Playerpro to flat and only played with the internal hardware equalizer using apps STweak which allows me to do so as I am using Siyah kernel.

One has to recognize that you can only hear and enjoy the good sounding if you are using a very good headphone/iem. Those average iem might not be so effective.

QUOTE(JC_jun @ Nov 20 2012, 03:48 PM)
thanks mate, i flashed and configured as per your guide
mind to share what is your setup for the noozxoide line out? what IEM you are using? listen to what kind of music?
*
My noozoide line out setup:
Compress and reduces ov = on
Select Effect Strength = moderate
Increase the monitor size = on
Select Effect Strength = medium
Deliver balanced natural = on
Digital Presets = Audiophile
Noozxoide VE-Engine = Strong
Create VSUR on practical = on
Create Room Size = none (I like to leave it as it is, choosing any one of it creates echoing which in my opinion distort the music)

These settings along with equalizer settings is very subjective and each one hearing has it own preferences.

IEM used = seenheiser cx870, hd205 and few others, JVC-FX40, BeyerDynamics XP2, few more can't recalled.

BeyerDynamics XP2 is the new addition and I seemed to enjoy it very much. You'll be surprised to know that it out performed Klipsh S4 and other higher end iem in terms of performance and very reasonably price. Paying for higher iem doesn't guarantee that it produces the best audio quality.

I usually listened to audiophile recording, acoustic, jazz and classical.

My music files are mostly ripped from flac and encoded to ogg vbr Q9 320 Kbps format.

btw how you download ? using torrent ?

It has solved the GPS issue.

Using torrent to download is very much faster. Takes about 20 minutes to download at most.

rather odd that my friend (an audiophile) used s3 rather than ipod.

I asked him before how to make it nice ... only thing he mentioned was , "It's veeeerrrryyyy complicated"

=____=
*
S3 from the box will definitely sound not as good as ipod.

Properly tweaked and using the right player and like what your friend mentioned, you will be listening to music in S3 rather than ipod.

Once you've installed acid v5, you wouldn't want to go to "VooDoo sound and Display Expert coming to the S3" to bash the poor boy anymore..... rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

Make sure you flash the latest ACID V5 Aroma, very stable version.

Not the V4 version.

option 1 (aroma) or option 2 (simple zip) ?

simple zip got state "samsung optimized"  hmm.gif
*
Go for option 1 aroma, less complicated and cleaner. The ROM won't get screwed up.

And there were few screens appearing to let you select the options you wanted.

i just installed finished. chose noozxoide over walkman

but when i go into the build.prop file, none of the lines shown in the instructions are added. should i add them ?
*
I didn't meddle with the build.prop file as the audio sound as good as it is already.

Why don't you try listening without that first to see how it goes. And be more adventurous at a latter stage.

I'm still following the thread to find out more on the build.prop before I decided to add in those scripts.

just tried the audio after flashing the acid sound mod with noozxoide.

using noozy player audio quality does seem improved

but on stock music player it seems a bit....normal or if worse a bit degraded with some songs. maybe it's conflict with the soundalive eq ? but i set that to normal all the time
feel like sticking with noozy player but the controls make me  rclxub.gif  i don't know how to return to main selection screen after choosing a song and exiting the player. and i also don't know how to fully end the music player after my music session. unlike stock player where you use option key > end
*
Why don't you consider PlayerPro or Poweramp? These two have high ratings and the UI is very friendly. You can download from Google Play Store.

There is a time limit as you need to purchase.

Try out these two since you already had ACID V5 installed.

which player you using currently ?

after messing wif the stock player eq it does sound ok now. but there's an amount of noise when i start the player and no song is playing
*
I have both purchased from Play Store.

My preference is PlayerPro as it suite my listening style. Also, PlayerPro media scanning is more accurate when add, delete songs or albums.

Edit : Another good feature found in PlayerPro is that you can activate shake to skip forward or backward song. Poweramp you have to purchase separately.

another thing, after installing the sound mod i noticed everytime when i start up the startup sound (during samsung logo) is gone

not that i mind about it but just wanna check whether its caused by the sound mod
*
I've no idea on this.

I am using Omega ROM V33.2 and the startup sound is suppressed by default.

If u are looking for audio flash, i recommend MegaBassBeats! Btw, I only tested it with ARHD :smile.gif

***Woohoo ARHD v16 is out!
*
What you said were true prior to the release of ACID V5. I've been using it.

With ACID V5 it has raised the bar above MegaBassBeats.

for the "Deliver balanced natural " option, i felt like if enabled will amplify the sound as well as noise.. do you have same problem? i am using poweramp listening to flac/ape files.
*
I don't have this issue using PlayerPro. My past experiences using Poweramp is playing with the mids and high can be a bit tricky. I have a Sennheiser iem which has sibilant issues and using it with poweramp distort the song.

After switching to Playerpro it does in a way resolved some of the sibilant.

Maybe you would want to test out Playerpro from Play Store and give me your views.

33.1 has an issue. I tried using it this evening and couldn't get lock in.

33.2 installed so far managed to lock in the GPS.

Some are lucky don't have GPS issue.

*
Sorry not DAC, should be DVC

Go to settings>audio>advanced tweaks>direct volume control

I can't recalled if I am not mistaken you need to uncheck for it to work.

You have to try out to see as I am using Playerpro now.
