Because Sand has higher hardness factor than the gorilla glass.

not recommended to restore system data, user apps data is OK. reason is 4.1.2 is a different base. check the changelog of the firmware, where for V33 is Full Wipe. this should give you a clue already.

you didn't mention which firmware you're on, unless you're already on Omega V33 4.1.2 and you flash the same firmware again then only it's safe to restore system data. (which makes one wonder why would you do this anyway)

you could give it a try though, if something weird pops out at least you know what's the cause already.  nod.gif

whats the volt of your charger?
*
Using a higher voltage charger doesn't mean a faster charge. 110V~240V is the operating voltage range for most modern hand phone charger. It contains a variable transformer which step down voltage according to your main supply (Malaysia is 230V) then gives out an output current. i.e. You plug in your charger in US, your charger will switch to 110V but output current will be same (1A rated current), if in Malaysia then operates at 230V with the same 1A output. It is important to check your charger voltage range before plugging into a foreign country's plug. Otherwise..BBQ Charger.

Our S3 battery is 2100mAH (mili Amps Hour) which is 2.1Ah. This means the battery is able to give out 2.1Amps continuously for 1 hour before dying. Ofcoz, our S3 doesn't consume 2.1A this huge amount of current, so it can last awhile. The stock charger gives about 1A charging current, so to charge up a 2.1Ah battery it requires approximately 2.1 hours (normally a bit more due to some power losses)
