Maybe you didn't read the letter of authenticity throughly, it was signed by Jersey State of Public Notary (if you don't know what it is. It's similar to this
http://www.agc.gov.my/index.php?option=com...mid=94&lang=en) as proof and you can check it via JSA website (http://spenceloa.com) as they upload it to their database. They specialize verify authenticity of signed sports memorabilia and other stuffs.
29k for some unknown guitar without complete letter of authenticity proof is just don't make any sense.

...tks for the input but must say we're a wee bit confused. In fact terribly confused as to your genuine motives in showing strong interest in this item.
May we inquire, "Are you an antique/collectible dealer ? Ever sold antiques/collectibles online, local or overseas ? If so what are the items if we may so ask ??
Incidentally, we are not exactly sure if you are a genuine bonafide buyer or just someone who's looking for a 'bargain' from some unsuspecting seller.
Ah, the 'Hendrix Amp' story was cited merely to show an example as to how a transaction of this nature is sometimes if not usually done besides other ways conducive to both seller and buyer. Yes, we all know Hendrix is dead and Met is still alive which explains why my guit is RM29k and Hendrix amp went for 1m Brit pounds which makes it approx RM5m.
As for UM Msia, we seriously do not think they are in the position to entertain questions from random callers regarding this guit. The reasons being, firstly, THEY USUALLY DONT unless one goes there personally with the item. 2ndly, the item was issued in the year 2003 in conjunction with Metallica's St Anger album where only 29 units were autographed in the Asian region, one of which was handed to UM who staged a nationwide contest which I was declared winner from a pool of 10,000 entries. Thirdly, why on earth would we use the name of UM Msia, being fully aware that we could be legally-implicated if such claims are false ???
Are u also aware that staff and personnel would have come and gone these past 12 years explaining why the responses to your phone inquires were negative ???
It is for this reason that our suggestion is for would-be buyers and sellers be physically present in their offices for positive verification.
As a matter of interest, This guit is also advertised on other sites which have garnered one serious offer from a Met-Head for USD5000/- with or without a cert. Apparently, buyer says he's familiar with the siggies (signatures) of the respective band members and doesn't need a cert.
We, on other hand, do truly appreciate your suggestions on how best to market this and will take your suggestions into consideration very seriously. Yes, we do value your input.
B4 we sign off, please click this link to see another item of mine of similar nature for sale. This time the artiste is virtually-dead and hence the stated asking-price which incidentally, is in RM ( not in USD). Inquiries from US have been encouraging since it's only in RM and not USD. My serious highest offer ?? USD10,000/- but I ain't selling just yet. If it gets close to my asking, then yes, I might consider and yes, this does not come with any cert. The detailed likeness of Hayes is validation enough that the hands that sculptured this piece belonged to a true-blue, consummate artist who has also died making this only one on the planet.
Hoping to hear from you soon. Cheers !!!
