Learn to have a sense of humor.
The video is about Metallica
and the guitar is signed by them.
Check the net if you haven't heard of Nashville.
Cheers!

of course you can but you dont get personalised autograph tongue.gif
and my price just went up to RM29k cos Metallica has agreed
to endorse it. The value is in the signatures if you understand
the meaning of collector's item

Good luck to you on your 'Michael Jackson' or whatever. Cheers!!!!

Check with any Metallica website, forum or FB
and ask questions pertaining to promo items
that was released in conjunction with the release
of St Anger album in 2003. Show them the guitar in
question to verify signatures.

The onus is on you to prove the authencity of the item
and satisfy yourself before purchase.

Better u call for clarification instead of these exchange
of messages that could take forever.

Cheers!!!!!!

errr....you're the one asking for 29k, so at the very least put up some links for potential buyers to read(or drool over). how do we verify the signatures are not forged? actual pictures of them signing it?  even the youtube link is from you. googling dont result in anything, not even pictures. if it's officially signed, it must have some kind paperwork, or at least hard case(read: ESP KH-2 vintage).

the guitar in itself is very basic, not something metallica would use on stage, or even studio for that matter.

no sorry, it is up to you, the seller, to provide proof of authenticity of what you are selling. this is the very basis of trading.

http://www.guitarscollector.com/james-hetfield-guitars.html
http://www.guitarscollector.com/kirk-hammett-guitars.html
unless, it's listed in the above list, i don't think it's worth 29k. much less becoming "a piece of metal history". you're selling unauthenticated signatures on an unknown guitar.

apologies for being blunt, i watch too much pawn stars. icon_rolleyes.gif

No need for apologies for being blunt. Its a free world as there is free enterprise. My price though, remains the same no matter what your argument. Cheers!

Can prove the authenticity of this all so that you don't have to wait another 10 years and sell it for much lower price? just my 2 cents. Collective item like this needs A LOT OF proof for its authenticity. I am sure you would want to sell it asap too, I mean 29K that is some sweet money smile.gif
*
.... classics, antiques, collector's items are basically NOT sold in a hurry as it appreciates with father-time.
Doesn't matter if it's not sold in my lifetime as I can always pass it to my next of kin who will be inheriting
a better-priced item. This item was issued by Universal Music Malaysia, the dist of Metallica. Hence, authenticating
it shouldn't be much of a hassle since they are still around. Celebrity-items usually multiply a hundredfold especially
after death. Dont want to sound mean but it's a fact. Cheers !!!!

I don't want to sound mean too but this is such a niche item, that too with no solid proof posted on ur add. Probably ur next of kin can enjoy fanatizing about it. Good luck :S
*
As mentioned, Universal Music Malaysia is always there for you to authenticate the item.
If their reputation is in any way questionable, then I rest my case.
The onus is always on the buyer to authenticate the item not the seller.
Hence the question of fantasizing should and will not arise.
Anyone contemplating purchasing this item is not obliged to buy it if in doubt.
A 'willing-buyer-willing-seller' transaction is always preferred.
Cheers !!!!

This is where you're wrong, you should authenticate for buyer. Why didn't Universal Music provide you the authentic cert for the guitar as proof? Here's an example a guy selling his signed bass complete with proof:

If got buyer, we go and authenticate it. If no buyer, why waste both our time ?

And furthermore how do you know that the cert as shown, is genuine ?

Wouldn't it be better for me to take you direct to the company
that issued the guitar than try to prove to you that the cert
they issued is genuine ?

Note: The Marshall company of the US took one year
to authenticate a used amplifier whom the present owner
claimed belonged to Hendrix the famed guitarist
and was asking US1,000,000/- for it.

A potential buyer responded and took the initiative
to send it to Marshall for authentication. After almost
a year, it was confirmed it belonged to Hendrix
and the owner got his asking-price.

IF the owner took it himself to Marshall for authentication
and managed to get a cert for it, my question is, would anyone believe him??
Any buyer worth his salt would want further verification from Marshall themselves
and get a fresh authentication from them and the whole process would
be repeated rendering the first authentication a complete waste of time.

Hope you see point. Yes, I can get a cert but it will still be doubted
and I will have to take the buyer back to the source for a fresh
verification.

Cheers !!!

Maybe you didn't read the letter of authenticity throughly, it was signed by Jersey State of Public Notary (if you don't know what it is. It's similar to this http://www.agc.gov.my/index.php?option=com...mid=94&lang=en) as proof and you can check it via JSA website (http://spenceloa.com) as they upload it to their database. They specialize  verify authenticity of signed sports memorabilia and other stuffs.

29k for some unknown guitar without complete letter of authenticity proof is just don't make any sense.

...tks for the input but must say we're a wee bit confused. In fact terribly confused as to your genuine motives in showing strong interest in this item.

May we inquire, "Are you an antique/collectible dealer ? Ever sold antiques/collectibles online, local or overseas ? If so what are the items if we may so ask ??

Incidentally, we are not exactly sure if you are a genuine bonafide buyer or just someone who's looking for a 'bargain' from some unsuspecting seller.

Ah, the 'Hendrix Amp' story was cited merely to show an example as to how a transaction of this nature is sometimes if not usually done besides other ways conducive to both seller and buyer. Yes, we all know Hendrix is dead and Met is still alive which explains why my guit is RM29k and Hendrix amp went for 1m Brit pounds which makes it approx RM5m.

As for UM Msia, we seriously do not think they are in the position to entertain questions from random callers regarding this guit. The reasons being, firstly, THEY USUALLY DONT unless one goes there personally with the item. 2ndly, the item was issued in the year 2003 in conjunction with Metallica's St Anger album where only 29 units were autographed in the Asian region, one of which was handed to UM who staged a nationwide contest which I was declared winner from a pool of 10,000 entries. Thirdly, why on earth would we use the name of UM Msia, being fully aware that we could be legally-implicated if such claims are false ???

Are u also aware that staff and personnel would have come and gone these past 12 years explaining why the responses to your phone inquires were negative ???
It is for this reason that our suggestion is for would-be buyers and sellers be physically present in their offices for positive verification.

As a matter of interest, This guit is also advertised on other sites which have garnered one serious offer from a Met-Head for USD5000/- with or without a cert. Apparently, buyer says he's familiar with the siggies (signatures) of the respective band members and doesn't need a cert.

We, on other hand, do truly appreciate your suggestions on how best to market this and will take your suggestions into consideration very seriously. Yes, we do value your input.

B4 we sign off, please click this link to see another item of mine of similar nature for sale. This time the artiste is virtually-dead and hence the stated asking-price which incidentally, is in RM ( not in USD). Inquiries from US have been encouraging since it's only in RM and not USD. My serious highest offer ?? USD10,000/- but I ain't selling just yet. If it gets close to my asking, then yes, I might consider and yes, this does not come with any cert. The detailed likeness of Hayes is validation enough that the hands that sculptured this piece belonged to a true-blue, consummate artist who has also died making this only one on the planet.

Hoping to hear from you soon. Cheers !!!

ok, can you please refer us to said site? or please give me just one other site that actually recognize this guitar.

as i mentioned before, you're asking for 29K here, that's a lot of money. at least have the courtesy of giving some references for your claim. i've never seen anyone trying to sell something, then say , "you can verify the legitimacy of the item after purchase, on your own". i doesn't make sense.  rclxub.gif
