those are called ignition coil.

old cars separk pelak cable looks simple because it receive charge from a big piece of metal called distributor. Modern cars now no distibutor liao, replaced with ignition coil.
*
huh? no distibutor cap? blink.gif
if problem like no api goes to separk pelak, change ignition coil ka?

morning

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Nov 21 2012, 09:34 AM)
As usual, this morning unlock my door using remote, plug in key and turn to ACC to let the fuel pump to work, then crank.

The engine start suprisingly fast, only 2 cracking sound adi started. But after 2s engine dead.

And 2nd attempt to restart certified my RAMCAR is retired after 3 years 2 months 6 days of usage. sleep.gif

So now i can safely share something.

1. Voltage not necessarily indicate the health of battery, my battery this morning is 12.4V as usual.
2. The indication of week battery is, when cold start, engine shoot to high RPM (ECU inject more fuel) but will dip down to 700-800rpm 1s after engine started, and then will quickly rise back and stay normal. Last time i have mentioned about this and someone told me it maybe due to dirty throttle or injector. My view is this RPM short dip is due to weak battery surge more current from alternator right after engine started.

I think i will go for non MF for new batt3, just brand still searching now. hmm.gif

malaysia manyak lobang... so what car also need to fix alignment..  sweat.gif
*
hahaha. its sure the main reason
but sometime its better treat our car gently rather go make alignmet many times

put aside road pothole as it cannot be expected anywhere in malaysian road. but take a look at those roads especailly housing area with speed bump. i see some driver dont care on speed bump and just drive fast bypass it. its one of many reason (or for i should say the primary cause) our car alignment become misalign. i as driver if i see speed bump, i'll keep my car slow as possible and drove it gently.... evene the smallest speed bump ever. at least 1, for long time period my alignment in place; 2, my passanger wont jump up to the roof

but sometime those arrogant driver with their hoo and haa dugong and bandar just go off speed bump at hillarious speed, just to show that toyoga, hando car can keep up the pace and their suspension is better. they never realize acutally they've tortured car alignment. at the end, whole set steering rack aligment damaged. godaipls shakehead.gif

even at my housing area, a gallardo driver drive very slow when goes on speed bump whistling.gif

well if you're living in Malaysia, how gently can u go?
I mean even the road doesnt have potholes, it's still like crap. driving low speed also like sitting on a vibrator.. lol
in d end still need to fix alignment... lols
hahaha. of course at the end do alignment. but it depend on this scenario

1. drive fast and dun care speed bump or pothole, that driver just run it through. then have to do alignment each 1k km. seems very frequently. spend money each time do it
2. drive slow and when see pot holes & speed bump, try to avoid or go throught gently. nevermind if accidentally hit it. cannot expect. then have to do alignment each 5k-10k. less frequent, save money

i prefer 2nd one. long lasting brows.gif

but if car vibraes does it affect alignment? 1st time i heard it blink.gif

even plotong produce crap car, if we treat it well like 2nd wife, trust me it will long last nod.gif

no 1 - those are richfags... laugh.gif
no 2 - quite common i think.. smile.gif

i mean malaysia's road are uneven, even there's no hole, it will somehow kacau the alignment abit la.. IMO.
Cos that's what happened to my car, cos I hardly drive fast when I first get my car, I drive damn gentle but alignment still lari.. cos I always travel at uneven roads..  sweat.gif

i see. no wonder have to do alignment so frequent whistling.gif

IAFM is not more efficient. IAFM vs VIM: Mechanical vacuum controlled vs ECU controlled.

By theory, VIM is consistent.
*
if CPS kicked in at 4k rpm, how about IAFM+?

true to say, since i drive FLX SE, didn feel kick in at any rpm. just press pedal then gain constant speed. at 2k rpm, speed star climbing graduately. above 2k rpm, feels more fun... laugh.gif
