Technical Play PS3 on CRT TV?,

hey.. anyone tried playing ps3 games on CRT TV before?
CRT TV means those big huge size old-fashioned TV.. not LCD, not LED.. the other day i brought my ps3 over to my cousin's house and played on it, it comes out the font of the words in the game is too small to be read.. why so? any solution? or any setting can be made in game or on the tv setting so the font size can be bigger? thanks |

Nope, there's nothing you can do unless you change to a HDTV... Playing ps3 games on SDTV means you will get small words...

I thought the font supposed to be bigger as the max resolution on CRT is like 480 or 320 or something. PS3 games are designed for HD displays. CRT only have so many lines that it couldn't render small fonts clearly. PS2 games are designed with SD in mind, that's why the fonts were designed bigger and with solid borders so that it can be displayed clearly in CRT TV.

I just got my HD screen and I totally agree with this...my majin and the forsaken kingdom can't even see things glow beautifully! O.o

yes you can play ps3 on normal crt tv.but if the game have many text on screen, you'll be having a hard time reading it
