haiz... i reply at risk of post being deleted as mods/admin do not like discussion on gst. u know that, dun u?
wat i mean is: this bank use to give cashback rebate to offset gst in the past. it is taboo to call it a waiver as banks have no right to waive since it is a gomen charge and gomen is big-big, must pay, yes?
i used to get it easy all these years but now, they tell me, policy change, etc. so, need points to redeem albeit discount. and u read someone else was told to spend this n that to get the cashback.
if u have no issue getting yr next gst cashback rebate, good 4 u.
actually, all i hear n read, all banks are squeezing on freebies be they cashback, waivers, points, watever...
perhaps, one day, we'll see 10% discount on any cash payment, we can all dump our cards!

that will be in your dreams
anyway banks are not stingy but the consumers would be the big spenders who pay for everything suffers as they do not enjoy the benefits. It should be tier mechanism for some cashback, waiver and points so that the consumer are aware of the benefits instead
not like some rich cheapskates who spends a couple thousand the whole yr asking for waiver
Citibank have treated me wll compared to some other banks too bad their consumer banking products like savings and deposits are not that attractive otherwise they would have dominate the banking scene in thse country which useless with protective mechanism for all sectors
