Me changed my previous Citibank CC to Citibank Rewards Platinum (MasterCard) as per offer,


I opted Driving category for the fullest 5x rewards points.


I activated and reconfirm option selection via phone once I received the new card.

Today 1st time swapping it at Shell, pump petrol RM 47, then received Citibank SMS said me pump petrol RM200.
WTH?
My previous Citibank CC doesn't like this.

Called up Citibank Center to verify and she said that's normal as I swap on the machine next to the pump.
For exact petrol purchase, have to use counter swap machine.

Then she said, within 3 working days, the amount will be exact again after certain process.
Charging RM200 per swap regardless amount at outside swap machine next to pump, it's normal?

Any of you guys experience like this?
Swap several times they "charged" you hundreds but then later come back to exact amount?
Anyone got problem and suddenly forced to pay whole amount credit?

Guys, wanna ask regarding MEPS Citibank transfer rate,
Me recently got new card and they gave me ATM pin number,

Thought of paying things cash if want to purchase something costly but don't have CC swap machine,

I looked into MEPS rate,

Lets say me pay MEPS cash RM 1000, with rate transfer RM4,
Value for Rewards Points or not really?

If me withdraw RM 1000 through Citibank CC Meps, applied charges 5% from amount? and plus charge RM4?

RM 1000 + RM 50 + RM 4 => RM 1054

Wahhhhh, better save for cash emergency lorrr.
