QUOTE(Ericz @ Dec 14 2013, 11:14 PM) Hi guys, Just wanted to share, I have only 1 clear card with CTB, still have balance in EPP and CTB, got my AF waived by emailing to them. (Coming to second year with CTB) wonder how they judge Well, different story i got from citibank when i called them to waive my AF. They said this year different from year b4 & cannot waive my AF, that 195 + 100.. my 1 year cash rebate also not enough to cover the AF. Really disappointed with the feedback & threaten them to cancel it. They said cannot do anything also. Then after that i email them again politely but still no feedback still now.. Hope they can waive it..

QUOTE(Redundant @ Dec 19 2013, 09:04 AM) I called in 3 times and asked 3 diff person for the waiver... still empty handed... the 3rd call ensured me the card cancellation... they did it happily in less than 10 mins... I checked online via citibank online and the card is gone just 10 mins after the phone call... very efficient! Curious to know that you still can log in citi online after you cancel your card..?

QUOTE(axoloke @ Dec 24 2013, 11:39 AM) Yup, just cancelled my CC after 15+ years with Citibank. 10 minutes after cancelling it, i checked online, you can login but the card details are no longer visible. Funnily enough, the bill payment merchants I saved are still there. You can't even check the previous statements etc online anymore. Feels like that their customer service aren't as nice/good compared to last time. Totally subjective feeling but curious to know if everyone here is happy with their service especially long timers? I guess i will cancel next circle of bill after i manage to accumulate my cash back to $50 cos now only 30+. I called them if i cancel now i won't able to claim unless reason above. Now applying UOB1plat, the different only grocery less choice than citibank offer.

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Jan 9 2014, 11:25 AM) You should apply for RHB Visa Infinite. AF waiver if you spend more than RM100K. Citi must be mad not to give you the AF Waiver http://www.rhb.com.my/cards/credit-card/cc...inite_main.htmlDanielCullen, please grab this high network customer I owned this card before & cancel it due to less benefit compare with CT Plat CB. I manage to spend 100K++ due to helping friend buy a large group of air ticket to Japan around 60K++ but sadly only got rebate 0.35% that around $210 only.. 30K just my house furniture & electrical & take installment payment.. Other just my daily usage.. This post has been edited by taiko8148: Jan 10 2014, 12:22 AM

QUOTE(bearbear @ Jan 10 2014, 09:43 AM) 100K but no waiver?that CS must be sleeping, suggest you call again to get it waive. Maybe they saw i got installment payment with them & Use this oppotunity to charge me. But i told them i will settle all debt after receive my latest statement but sadly they didn't credit my cashback even reach $60 already. Need to wait another month to canx or left a $60 debt balance for next month to contra my CB.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jan 10 2014, 09:18 PM) i am surprised with that. 100k spending... i spend only 1/2 of that, no problem with waiver. instalment payment - they love it, gets you in better standing as it is recurring billing for them! possible yr payment settlement and punctuality and may not be up to their expectations? think it is a prime factor. There are no payment problem for me since using this card for almost 4-5 years, no problem for requesting to waive the AF. If they refuse, i may cancel the card already. I believe since i took installment plan from CT last year, mean that i need to stay until all debt settle that why they use this oppotunity to charge me AF & refusing to waive it.but when i read this forum found someone manage to waive their AF, i called CT CS why some card holder can waive but not me? They just reply that no such thing due to change of policy last year. Really pissed with their policy
