Good question.... I believe it will take the posting date of Sat's transactions.
That's why I never swipe in other days jut to be sure it will be otherwise... smart leh ?
*
According to the example given in Citi website, they will take Sat. The very first day when you achieved the required criteria of total spent RM500 incl all 3 categories. You can go on and swipe after Sat but that wont change the date of qualification.

Any idea, the transaction date would be same as posting date say for petronas fuel pump and online TNB payment?

Anyone got the 20" Santa Barbara trolley bag, for new applicant of citibank air asia credit card. Need spend RM800 in 60 days to qualify.

I was late in applying, must be one of the last of the 2000 bags given out.

thank you citibank!

this is the last cycle/week for that 30% rebate CB or RM150.

Anybody in here hit the RM500 purchase today? I tried my luck again today, previously gave up from 5th week onwards after noticing my 4th week TNB pay online delayed by 2 days.

Got RM145.64 from my first attempt at 3rd week- fullfilled the criterion on Day 1 ie 27.4.13. That energised me up to try again this week.

TNB bill payment do not entitled for 30%. I cannot see the reason stop you to continue becos of TNB bill payment delay.
*
Yes i know TNB bill does not earn 30% CB but TNB bills does add up the total spend to above RM500 to make you qualify early on first day of the week.

Once you qualify on Day 1, the subsequent grocery/petrol/dining purchase even on the last day of the week, will add up to earn your 30% CB till the max.

ok like this:

On first day of the week you purchase pizza RM40, petrol RM30(tank full already with this), and grocery RM100 so total RM170. You dont have so many things to buy on the 3 categories to hit RM500.So how?

Pay the balance RM330 with TNB bill online, you hit the target and qualify straight away on day 1 of the week, better chance to get CB.

But then 30% rebate there is only RM170 x 30% = RM51.00

But you want to max it to RM150. Next few days, your petrol tank empties, pump in more, grocery promotion comes, go buy more till you hit RM500 for the 3 categories..........

That is the role of the TNB bill - help you qualify first.

Unless the time of the day you qualify matters?

but according to citibank website, it seems only the day matters, so doesnt matter one qualifies at 8.00Am or 8.00pm as long as it is on saturday first day of the week, you are on equal standing assuming the total expenses of the whole week you stand equal with the rest.

here is another benefit if you add in the TNB bills , so instead of total spend RM500, my total including the bills not earning the 30%CB will be higher than if i were to spend only on the 3 categories.

If many qualify same on first day, those with higher total weekly spend will get the CB first.

the week 10 - 30% CB is in. I got RM150 credited on 8.7.13.
A good card indeed, regret i only tried for it for 3 weeks out of the total 10.

what time u done you RM500 for 3 categories of tx
*
i qualified on first day ie sat 15.6.13
i started off by paying TNB online on early morning Sat ie Friday after midnight RM135 as i
estimated later in the day my groce/petrol/dining may total around RM400 only.

But then when i went shopping on Sat afternoon 3pm, i ended up with total of RM577 for the 3 categories.
With TNB my total spend for that week was RM773. For that I got CB RM150.

Week 3 - i started off by paying TNB bill (RM410)midnight, then followed by Sat shopping of the 3 categories for RM485 - total
spend for that week RM895. I got 30%CB RM145.64

Week 4 -Sat 4.5.13 - I did my 3 categories shopping first and i found out they totalled only RM474 when i reached home. I then paid TNB online
for RM240 at around 5pm happily waiting for confirmation to qualify on that Sat itself only to be disappointed later on when i found out that the TNB payment was only posted on Monday that is on Day 3. Sure enough i got ZERO CB!

Then i sort of gave up till week 10 i gave it another trial.

It's worth the effort.

Not easy to get nett 30%, you try that by spending RM500 and not a cent more, chances are slim to strike the CB.

If spending around RM1000 can get you the RM150 that is already 15%------- well above other rebates we get from other cards.

And if you have maxed out on Wise., Amex and OCBC, then even spending 2000 to get RM150 is well worth it.(7.5%) where else can we get this? I just put some of the TNB bills there, i dont lose that much.

If You have terus Enroll on their Website & They X Sent SMS InvitationĀ  to You Anymore... smile.gif

I follow the website you gave and enrolled there. I read you guys discussed earlier the SMS will indicate how much we have to spend per month and how cash back we are entitled. And it differs from one person to another..

So if no SMS that means i have to wait for email. But trouble is i have enrolled without being invited first...........Didn't know must have invitation first then only can enrol............

i am planning to apply a 2nd citibank credit card, ie the PremierMiles Amex for airport lounge use.

Citibank website says there is RM600 Annual fee and GST to pay.

I called up CS and passed to a sales agent. He said 1st year annual fee is waived and can give upto 9 supp cards that can also have free access to overseas plaza premium lounge.

Anybody with this card can confirm? Worried sales agent simply bluff about the AF waiver and lounge benefits.

thanx for any input.

Received PremierMiles Amex today.

By the way - how to sign up for online statement etc? The sign up page asks for a PIN and seems to require a savings acc.?
*
did u apply at the branch or online ? How many days from application submission to card arrival at your home? How many swipes must do to get 1st year annual fee waived and get the GST RM50 cash back?
