sorry to say when i applied it online the CS STRICTLY (u all should hear her serious firmed voice when come to this part...hahahaha) asked me this question over the phone:

1) the income must be more than rm200k per year (must with prove of income tax payment slip and bank statement clearance)

2) no automatic welcome gift but i will get 180k points that equivalent to the camera(i will check this when i receive my first statement)and ofcoz with terms and conditions..anyway i dont mind this welcome gift or points its not important to me furthermore iam lazy to read the t&c..

3) strictly no annual fees to be waived for any reasons whatsoever..rm1000 i dont mind this too

why my application processed so fast without any hassle?
coz i gave them all the documents, all my bank statements (6 months) and everything i have to them..lol

i guess the strict min income imposed here due to the new card introduced to the market..maybe oneday the requirement wont be so strict anymore..(correct me if iam wrong)
*
Wow, good to hear such from u. Seldom heard about this super premium product for reference. Conglats.

Rm 200k per annum + rm1k annual fee sounds impossible for me.

I applied the card via last PC Fair that at Mid Valley.

Citibank is very strict on the approval on this card. Your income need to hit a minimum of RM200,000 or please don't bother to apply. You'll waste your time as they as I said Citibank will follow the requirements to the letter.

No welcome gifts. However, for a limited time, they will award you with welcome points. (I can't remember the amount)
You use the points to redeem for the Nikon camera.

Hi there,

As i am the existing citibank customer, they informed me they will credit the reward points of 180,000 (can redeem for exclusive nikon camera) ONLY IF:
1. upon minimum spending of RM 12,000 within 3 months upon approval.
2. Payment of annual fee of RM 1000.

Well, it's while stock last and not a guaranteed welcome gift. You have same terms and condition?

Should be RM3,000 within 3 months of approval. Extract of the terms and conditions:

4. Subject to these terms and conditions, an Applicant whose application is received before the expiry of the Promotion Period and is successfully approved by Citibank will receive 180,000 Citi Rewards points ("Sign On Welcome Points") provided that within 3 months after such approval date ("Qualifying Period"), the Applicant must:

a. pay the annual membership fee of RM1000; and
b. make a minimum retail transaction of RM3,000 with the successfully approved Citi Prestige Card.

11. e. The Camera is limited to the first 1,000 redemptions or while stocks last.

For the Citibank of smart banking kiosk, it should be amend to correct place which the IPC Mall no longer be there, and it can be replace to One Utama old wing (in front of Popular), there have already setup and operating daily  smile.gif

Alot of their staff is not aware of the terms & conditions.

In fact I did argue with the agent about this, but they insisted they are correct. Until the moment I showed them the Terms & Conditions....They keep silence there onwards...lol

The Promotion
4. SUBJECT to these Terms and Conditions, an Applicant whose application is successfully approved by Citibank on or before 30th April 2013 will receive
a 50% Cash Rebate for their first retail transaction (“Cash Rebate”) provided that the completed physical application form is submitted, together with such
clear and readable supporting documents as may be requested by Citibank.

You recall giving any consent?

If you didn't say yes, then file a complain and ask them to provide evidence that you accepted the card.

they did call and ask me to try. then they send the card. after i receive the card, i did nothing, nor activation. so they call again. since the card send to my hometown, i say will activate if i got it from my mum. so now they impose gst. anyway my question is, did the activation is the only final acceptance of their offer of this credit card?

Acceptance takes place when you sign and submit the application form, or in your case, giving any consent. I believe once the account no is generated, the GST will be imposed. Activate or not, in my opinion, is a security measure but has no bearing on the GST because most of the time, the GST will already appear at the online banking system.
