received sms from citibank, rm70 credited to me due to cash back promo.

maybe they will offer to waive annual fee if you want to cancel.

my card has been barred from any usage due to some stupid reason.

basically i received an sms from citibank about my card has been barred, then when i called the call centre, the lady said someone else will call me back, then i received another sms asking me to ignore the first sms.

today when i tried to use, failed. called citibank just to realized that my card is still barred, apparently just for 3 days but it has been more than 3 days since the very first sms, and apparently it's for some bank negara verification thingy.

anyone experienced this? so frustrated at citibank, thinking about cutting this card.

I don't know, something to do with bank negara regulations apparently. even the call centre can't explain properly to me.

i have been with citibank since 2009. i'm surprised too when they barred my card.

called them to enquire more, they said they will ask someone to call me back.

until now still no call.

what discount was that previously? you mean new card applications?

nope, for local.

citibank finally called back, just need to resend some documents, then it should be all ok again. apparently it's because of me having extra cards with other banks.

a very weird experience.

received my statement today, saw I got RM140 cash back.

should be able to convert but need pay interest.

missed the time, there goes my 5k points.

need to work.
