I believe that there's no such thing called switching.

You just need to apply the travel type card and cancel the current card before its anniversary date to avoid GST.
*
If I am not mistaken

Switching is possible with a condition (VISA to VISA, Master to Master and etc)

If you have already paid the RM50 GST, chance is you do not need to pay for another 1 year even though you switch card in between.

I have enquire this in Citibank last time and the fact I never did it was because I was holding a VISA and I wanted a Citibank CB Platinum which only MasterCard was available then.

By the way, would also like to enquire about the Citibank Platinum card

http://www.citibank.com.my/english/credit-...rCode=MYCCLNPLC

Anybody using it and so far are they able to waive the annual fee @ RM600?

I see some benefits there such as extended warranty and free-entry to KLIA lounge...

Hope someone cares to share more about it.

Thanks

Citibank Platinum card is one of the easiest card to get RM600 AF waived. It is stated under the card Benefit that you need only 3 swipes within 60 days to get 1 year annual fee waived.

Thanks for the information.

How about the KLIA lounge? Is it only for 1 person or 2 persons will be allowed in 1 card?

Usually we would be accompanied by at least 1 person during travel hence the question.

Thanks smile.gif

One card entitled for one free entrance only. Some ppl reported that supp card also entitled for free entrance. Otherwise, you will need to pay for your companion. There's no one card two two entries at the same time.

Hi all, I'm planning to have a Citibank travel card since I think I'll be traveling quite a lot from the nature of my work. I initially wanted (and still thinking) to get the Citi PremierMiles AmEx due to the 60,000 airmiles bonus (I have read the condition to get them). But when I think again, I rarely see AmEx logo in retail stores or restaurants, which prompt me to think that the PremierMiles Visa might be the better choice, albeit without the 60,000 airmiles bonus. I also couldn't find the annual fee of PremierMiles Visa. Anyone can help? I mean, what do you guys think about this? hmm.gif

Also, is there other Citibank cards that has airmiles program beside the PremierMiles cards? Not going for Air Asia though. tongue.gif

I remember Citibank CS told me (via their FB) that they no longer promote PremierMiles Visa. I think you also don't have option to apply this card (from the website)

10,000 points can redeem RM50 card GST so should be worth RM50.

Just received a call from Citibank's CS. Apparently, for foreigners the annual income is higher than stated it the website (RM100,000). Well, not my luck. yawn.gif

Hey guys, just asking, if I pay the statement balance in full (not the minimum balance) each month before the due date, why do I still get finance charge? I found a few oddities in my statement and when I asked them, the customer service replied as such:

QUOTE
Please be advised that finance charge will be computed on a daily basis
from the day the transaction was posted until the next statement date
(unless full payment is made, interest will be calculated until a day
before full payment). On top of that, finance charge will be imposed on
the previous month outstanding balance until a day before any payment
made. Should there is still remaining balance after payment is made from
the previous outstanding, finance charge will be charged on the
remaining balance until the next statement date.

However, upon evaluation of the account, we have waived the finance
charge. You may view the reversal in your next statement.

Can anyone help decipher? I'm using the cashback platinum btw.

If you pay the Statement Balance and on Due Date, you would not be charged Finance Charges.
Maybe you missed the Due Date (due to cheque clearance) ??

You transferred on the payment due date day? With GIRO, you need to have at least 1 day buffer for the transaction to be captured. Otherwise, you'll be fined for late payment.
