Called up Citibank today to enquire about the status of my card delivery. Apparently, they couriered it to me some time two weeks ago and nobody was home. Thus they then proceeded to send it by snail mail.

The thing is, I have not received any Pos Laju slip asking me to pick up something at their storage facility nearby (which is the norm if I am not home during delivery). Ah well.

I hope it was a one time thing and other new applicants have had no issues with the courier failing to deliver. Cheers!

I think this is their standard practice as I experienced exactly the same situation few months back.

After I received my card, only I understand that their measure is they don't leave the card at courier service centre, while they prefer to send snail mail after the first attempt of hand delivery.

Which would make more sense really. It would be different of course, if Citibank actually informs us that they are sending the card by courier and provide us with a tracking number. However, they do not. Hence, I find myself in the situation I am in.
According to the customer service lady, the card will only arrive sometime next week. rclxub.gif

hey guys. you guys have any idea in regards to ezypay?

Lets say if i were to buy something that priced at RM8k but it offers installment plan over the period of 12 months.

What if my credit card's credit limit isn't over RM8K, can i still swipe it?

Nope, credit limit needs to be 8k at least. They will deduct 8k from your limit and hold it till you slowly pay finish. Means once you do the ezypay, your limit will be reduced by 8k.

If not enough credit limit, I think can call CS for temporary increase.

The extra credit limit is subject to a certain amount of interest too if I'm not wrong.

Just an update, the Bank sent the card by "Air Drop" which essentially is by normal mail (perhaps with better handling to protect against damaging the card?).

Called Citibank on Thursday and received the card on Friday. rclxms.gif Called Citibank that night to activate the card and they just took less than a minute to confirm my details and said "you can use your card immediately" thumbup.gif

Overall, a good start with Citibank especially as my first ever credit card.

PS: I also asked for the statement date to be delayed so that the deadline for payment would be pushed to the 31st or 1st of every month (salary comes in on the 26th). How do we know if they have approved our request?

Thank you to all the awesome sifus here whom have provided me with much guidance in this matter biggrin.gif
