guys, i'm thinking bout getting the saga flx se 1.6 or preve executive auto.

is it worth the price for 63k? or just the CFE version better?

in proton edar website, it's stated 0-100kmh is 12.5sec. Can we reach 100kmh faster by driving in S instead of D?

not sure, but havent try compare s mode with d mode... but i compared s mode with paddle shift for CFE, s mode is faster...

and i think the 0~100 in 12.5 is already test using s mode + no passanger + least possible petrol in car to reduce weight  laugh.gif
*
but i see youtube there are people with saga can go 0~100 in less den 11sec. eventho it's written 12s in the website.

well do u think it's worth it to buy preve for 63k than saga flx 50k?

actually money is not the problem cuz my parents willing to pay for me. they wan a safer and stable car lah.
but i have to continue paying it after i graduate tho.

safe and stable + highway cruise get preve

start stop traffic or jam or city drive and fuel save, get saga

if u still can find 2012 stock, u can actually get preve CFE at about 67~68k which is hell lot more worth thn getting the preve exec
*
nope cannot find 2012 stock anymore. cuz i need it by this coming sunday already.
and i don't really trust proton on those technology like push start button, paddle swift and the CFE engine. lol tongue.gif

i everyday only travel total 20km from house to campus. but maybe sometimes go outstation with friends, and i love to speed and take corner.

So i think preve exec is the better choice?

start stop button and paddle shift should be least of your concern with a Preve. Preve is definitely more stable at high speeds and cornering compared to saga.

however, is most of your 20km commute smooth highway or city traffic? be warned that preve exec(and CFE) don't have great city driving fuel consumption
*
it's actually kesas highway but in the morning u know lah typical KL jam.
FC is not in my concern.

just wanna know whether worth or not to top up RM13000 for preve exec

I'm definitely sure that handling will be alot better and more stable compared to saga flx 1.6,
but the safety thing, since there's only 2 air bags, unlike the CFE which has 4,

and the pick up since preve is much more heavier den saga? hmm.gif

well, at least it is way better than tin milo saga lo, since Preve is using UHTS.

and automatically, Preve Executive pick up is slow off the line compared to a Saga since it is a heavier car.
*
wow nice item you have there.
if i buy it from u, will i void the warranty from proton?

i think i've decided. Get a preve and buy that ignition from u biggrin.gif

depends on ur driving pattern, if u drive like a p****y then just get exec enuf. Sorry about the word, just joking only biggrin.gif wat i means is if u drive slow and steady then exec is enuf, if u owes wan speed chiong chiong then cfe lo.. but bear in mind chiong chiong u will get bad FC. So i drive like a p****y even i driving CFE.. the best part is when u need the speed, u get it biggrin.gif
*
i drive like those ahbeng who get cursed by people all the time.

but CFE is out of my budget and i'm afraid of the proton technology about the paddle shift, push start button etc.

and i've decided. since i like to drive above 140kmh, i'm afraid cannot control saga nicely at that speed.

well if u drive above 140km/h then no brainer u shoul take CFE, easily hit 140 and above no sweat. Well, u need the speed, u have to pay for it smile.gif
*
i just wanna have a pick up which is equivilent to or slightly better den my current 1.6 wira can already smile.gif

and i only got the money for either saga flx se or preve exec. haha

next time after i graduate only buy a better car to street race

i believe wira 1.6 u overhaul liao maybe give u better comfort, becos saga flx se torsion beam just cannot make it, very rocking at uneven road. preve exec not bad la.. just pickup lose abit, too heavy. better u go test drive 1st smile.gif
*
what is overhaul?
my wira is stock, only changed rim and extractor.

actually test drive already, but it's the CFE one. They don't have preve exec for testing. went to Mutiara Damansara branch tho.

my mom also worry bout the tech.. but i tell her got 5 years warranty thn she get a relief  biggrin.gif

as for preve exec vs saga flx se acceleration, u can think of it like that

both car with same engine with same power output, but one is heavier thn other, so confirm exec acceleration will be slower
*
even tho got warranty but if keep send to SC den kinda troublesome. I need car to go uni, cannot live just a day without car tongue.gif

and my dad old minded one, so...

i'll stick to preve den.

TS prepare to add my name into preve proud user list!!

Student with preve? I jelly to the max. Seriously consider cfe over exec. With the discount throw by the sa for 2012 stock i am sure your dad afford one. Bring your dad go test drive
*
He doesn't believe in proton's technology. Afraid that those new things will be problematic.
And there's no stock for 2012 production anymore. Have to get a car as fast as possible.

why dont you go for Neo? its cheaper and faster than Preve Exec, also stable at high speeds
*
What if in future have to fetch gf and her siblings/family. haha
Neo is 64k. More expansive den preve executive.
Anyway, I paid dp for preve exec already =)

the torque/bhp thing can mod later when I started working. rclxms.gif

guys, does the preve exec model has the :
LED light,
AUX
up down shift on the gear?

and since the torque peak is 4k RPM, does it means to get maximum acceleration i should'nt go above 4k RPM, like 5k or 6k?

exec have LED light, AUX not sure, but paddle shift confirm no have

as for shift timing, usually i shift at around max power for acceleration.... 2 to 4 k RPM ur engine might produce the max torque, but due to the gear ratio or other factor it may not transfer all of that to the wheel and on the road....
*
QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 14 2013, 10:59 PM)
ada
ada
no.

and you cant hit 6k.
*
oh so i cannot control when to change gear also right?

den if i wanna get the maximum acceleration, only floor it and wait?

cfe can, exec cvt, i think just floor it... even for CFE, the acceleration using paddle shift and pedal to floor in S mode, timing is about the same. i think that paddle shift on cvt maybe just a gimmick , or for engine braking  biggrin.gif
*
i read online that for the first 1000km, we not suppose to rev it up more den 3k rpm or drive fast fast, so that we can protect the engine and make it long lasting.

is this real? or only apply for older days car?

if like that den the first 1000km will be very very boring to me yawn.gif
