BTW, last night I saw a white CFE Preve with rear bumper skirting like Dhuangs, looks very sporty, jelly betul
Say what you want about Preve's ugly butt, but at night it looks really nice with that two lines of tail light, even better with the rear skirting. |

QUOTE(LYNsucks @ Nov 13 2012, 01:07 AM) Man, this preve is really a rusty car. Rust everywhere. Park at open space at morning. A short rain at noon. Get car at evening and found rust on all discbrakes! Inspect a viva that parked besides and found no trace of rust on its discbrakes. Makes me wonder what material being used for discbrake since it became rusty almost instantaneously after being sprinkled with water. Of course a short drive wipes it away but it gets back fast too whenever downpour happens. I thought preve use high performance brake like those of brembo ceramic, no? Ceramic wont rust aint it? Rust on the disc brake is normal, happens to all cars.Apart from the known rusty exhaust holder, I saw rust too at many other parts especially those linkage that are in black paint. At least the rusty exhaust holder issue is absence in other cars like unser. Kinda worried how long can this global car last.. Ceramic refers to the material in the brake pad, not the disc. |

QUOTE(Dickong @ Nov 14 2012, 04:28 PM) If really can get 5k discount , i wouldnt mind to have same car. To be honest before the ecu/tcu upgrade i was like wtf with this car. Secondly i have a good resale value for my dugong n i just have to top up small amount to get another new better car compare with the dugong. Sorry i am not bashing dugong but through my experience between the 2 cars. Respect bro |

QUOTE(tanpanama @ Nov 16 2012, 10:25 AM) my preve IAFM+ got very high ROAR sound when RPM 2500... is it normal? Insulating your hood does little for the cabin soundproofing.already install soundproof at hood , but still got sound. If you wanna prevent engine sound from entering your cabin, soundproof your firewall with good dampening material. |

QUOTE(edwans @ Nov 16 2012, 10:16 PM) hello all Err...you didn't censor car plate, not so stealth liao i've been a silent reader for awhile and just registered. well i received my car last month, and tomorrow going for 1st service already (although mileage sudah lebih 1k, aiya) my short review after one month of my 'Stealth Fighter' so far: Model: CFE Color: Tranquility Black Driving experience: I use it to commute to work (shah alam - bandar sunway) and the occasional trips to KL of course, and so far I've been enjoying the drive. Received the car with no major problems or issues or defects. Had a good sales rep handle my deal too. I really love the ride and handling, which I think is superb for a locally made model. And the looks too! My black CFE really looks sleek and smooth (thats why I call it Stealth Fighter hahaha). The mid-range pickup is great for overtaking, and cruising at 110 - 120 on the highway has shown me a car that is stable and responsive. Bad points are few, mainly that my car has that laggy throttle you guys have been talking about (hope to get that sorted tomorrow), and the low speed ride is jerky (is this a gearbox issue?) as in sangkut-sangkut below 20km/h (especially in parking lots). Windows also mist up if the weather has been rainy, and rear visibility is so-so. And whyyy is there a blank switch for the top spec model? Oh and I'm currently getting about 10.3L/100KM, but i hope that gets better in time. Overall, I rate my car an 8/10 So in short: PROS: looks, ride and handling, performance above 2000rpm, high-speed stability, comfort, good audio and okay sat-nav CONS: low speed ride, laggy throttle (fixable, hopefully!), not-so-stellar fuel consumption, mediocre rear-visibility I've attached a photo of my Stealth Fighter |

QUOTE(pigduck @ Nov 19 2012, 01:32 AM) When I accelerate I expect the car to move, the steering to feel good and the overall drive experience to be good. Not to over-exert myself like with the Saga. Why make it tiresome? Then the Saga is not for you. I owned a Saga, drives a Vios and Viva and I have to say the Saga is the most difficult to drive due to the reasons you have stated.I do have and drive other cars in my house. All pretty balanced and comfortable to drive. With decent feedback when I accelerate and turn the steering wheel. Added on November 19, 2012, 1:34 am+ why are we getting into the technicalities of my driving? I didn't like the Saga FLX. Full stop. I didn't agree with the steering and how it drove and if that is how the Preve Executive drives like so, then that's bad. Added on November 19, 2012, 1:35 amAnd if comparing Saga FLX to Kelisa, I'd say, stick to Kelisa. The zippy-ness of the Kelisa is unparalleled. Added on November 19, 2012, 1:36 amNot to mention if having to compare Saga FLX to Myvi, I'd say get a Myvi. It's definitely a better experience. Just overall, less stress. The jammed roads are stress enough. One should at least have a relaxed ride. Like the Almera. Those sushi cars are built for one thing: get in and drive, easy. The Saga FLX, however, takes more effort to even get it moving without jerking, but it rewards you in spades once you adapt to that mentality. Especially the Vios....man I cannot imagine a more boring car to drive. Perhaps the almera will trump it. However, I can appreciate the fact that not everyone subscribe to this. My sister, for example, would derive no pleasure from the saga because her idea of a good car is a fuss free, even if dull, trip from A to B. This is why Myvi is popular with certain ppl, but not ppl like me. This post has been edited by dares: Nov 19 2012, 01:45 AM |

QUOTE(pigduck @ Nov 19 2012, 01:54 AM) How was the resale value of the Saga? I'm wondering is the resale value bad because there are a lot of Protons for sale, or is it just 'cos the car has no value, you know? Expect 20% depreciation in the first year, then 10% for second and lesser for each subsequent years. And omg, at jerking at low speed. You do like to punish yourself. Many people told me to get a Fiesta but I don't know, I'm quite functional and practical - hence why Preve Premium and Jazz Hybrid. And Almera reliability. But Fiesta is good price, I think. Is yours auto? Yea mine is auto hatchback. If you are after a practical fuss free ride and dont mind sacrificing performance and a bit of safety....I am gonna get burnt in his thread for saying this......get the Vios J. Anything more expensive than RM80k for a vios is a con job. This post has been edited by dares: Nov 19 2012, 02:01 AM |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Nov 19 2012, 02:05 AM) Vios good. At certain part of the states, when people look at you driving a Vios, it is like you driving a BMW. God car yo.I still get the occasional " y u no buy vios?" while looking puzzled at the Ford. QUOTE(pigduck @ Nov 19 2012, 02:11 AM) Have you guys thought what kind of face lift or refresh or new features Proton will add to the Preve? BTW, is the Hatchback and putra-like Preve confirmed? Added on November 19, 2012, 2:16 amwhat about Inspira 1.8 compared to Premium Preve? I remember disliking the seats in the Inspira... As for the Inspira, what it lacks in equipment and features, it makes up with its mitsu lineage. Depends on your personal preference. |
