my preve IAFM+ got very high ROAR sound when RPM 2500... is it normal?already install soundproof at hood , but still got sound.

Just drive my cousin sister's CVT version and.... WOW, SUPER noisy! sad.gif Yes, I get the "ROAR" sound too but I don't think it was at any specific RPM. The moment I gun the accelerator, the car roars quite loudly and it feels like I'm dragging a 10-tonne truck on a winch behind the car. It this really normal? Or is it because I'm used to driving a manual? unsure.gif

my remedy for the 'ROAR' sound...be gentle with your accelerator ..never go beyond 2k rpm during move from stop position ..  laugh.gif
and yes, it is like dragging a 10 tonne truck ... the only good thing is when I am driving, the noise can be overcome by turning on the radio loud, the dragging part, well, just treat it as drive slow and steady biggrin.gif

Good advice - thanks thumbup.gif I'll tell her that tongue.gif
But she's going to go to Proton SC anyway - see what they do biggrin.gif

on iafm+ cvt, the engine roar coz the cvt is trying to match the engine speed rpm with the ratio, compare to manual where its already fixed. Until it reach the most suitable ratio@the highest, the roar will continue  n slowly fade when it match the ratio. Pressing it gradually, make it easy to cvt to match the ratio with the engine speed (rpm) will help. But when need power, then u will hear the roar. But can used stepped auto mode@sat, the roar will reduce, but cvt whining still there. So, golden hawk, if ur sis want lesser roar, used sat then. But if not really good in cntrol the throttle, fc will be effected too. Depend which is suit for ur sis.

Thanks for the comments Abg. mat79 smile.gif I'll convey the message accordingly biggrin.gif

BTW, another question to CVT owners - does the gear console have lights? Realized hers wasn't illuminated even in pitch-dark conditions unsure.gif

yeah? so will it smooth out after first service? i mean, i'm not too bothered with it lah, just sometimes quite noticeable -____-"

i wonder if anyone actually got close enough to Protons 6.6L quote? hahaha. i tak kira how many KM i actually get though, but so far i can isi minyak ngam-ngam every 6 days. that's pretty okay for me, lebih kurang my MyVi saja dulu.

metaled and ben3003,

Please refer to this guide below.

Preve Engine Mounting Mod

Credit to Lim Eu Bian for preparing the slides.
This mount can be done to many cars, as long as you can slip the fuel inside in between the gap.  thumbup.gif
Do check Prevoc.Org and Prevoc Facebook Group for the latest updates.

A lot like the "timing belt" trick on 4G15 mountings tongue.gif Nice one... just make sure you secure the fuel line properly or it might end up somewhere... err... "undesirable" unsure.gif

Hi guys. Anyone been to the EON HQ in Glenmarie? My car will be due for the 1st service soon in about 9 days. Should I go to SOE or EON HQ? I'll be sending my car for some complaints aside from the usual oil change. Any recommendation? By the way I went for a full body coatng at Sierra Glow and the result is sweet as. Love it, money well spent.

I'd rather drive to CoSE. They are pretty slow & don't respond well to complaints. Regretted going there the 1st time...

Me too sad.gif Anyone found a solution? Would a longer antenna help?

I'm also discussing it on Prevoc: Prevoc: Bad radio reception
