sent my car for 1k service at COSE last saturday. all was good, remap ECU etc.

but on the way home, i noticed there is a small micro scratch on my windscreen from the outside... pretty sure it wasnt there before the service because its kindda obvious =/
(not gonna bother complaining, its a small scratch and going through the hassle of changing the screen and tinting is waste of time)

just wish that the service staff handle the cars with better care

are u sure 17XX?? blink.gif what was an old old 1st batch stock....better dont take that..now chassis number over 2xxxx already
*
i got my car 3 weeks ago and it was 12xxx CN.. only major problem so far is the OMV knocking sound on cold start. booked SC fix on 7th jan to rectify this.

Maybe the discount from proton is to push off their older stocks haha. Either way, to the new owners try to request for 2xxxx if possible(no promises it will be problem FREE though tongue.gif)

Yes, I claimed the gear knob, but I bet they will replace with the same cheap one. For the scratch, yeah it is just a car, but it is RM72,990 car  cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif

About the HU, any success in replacing our existing GPS with Papago or Garmin? If not, I am thinking of replacing the existing HU with the better one (Pioneer, Kenwood, maybe?). I don't like Bosch HU. Any estimated cost? Proton mechanic told me Bosch HU is RM 9,000 per unit. Either he is lying or it is overprice.
*
RM9000 is probably how much the entire interior materials might have cost(pun intended) tongue.gif

anything more than that, just leave the car there for 1 day dont bother waiting lol

should keep it until car really cannot drive or spare parts are too expensive to change. My dad wira drive 18yrs liao, change engine mounting, change some parts, the car still can drive like a nice car. Unless too many cash to spare, else no need change car lo.. i also plan to use tis car until loan finish, then got better pay, go for VW Passat CC class in the future biggrin.gif

not really tho.. a manager in Shell is driving car viva to office, what say u? smile.gif Shell here is asia pacific hub, so u can imagine how high level tat person is. If u chose live by status, u will never become rich, rich man dont leave by status, but the status he get is from wat other ppl say him, not wat he wan to show to ppl, meaning to say, i don have to tell u i have the status, you know i have it. Oh well, it boils down to everyone own preferences on what kind of life they want to live and what path they want to take, right? biggrin.gif

haha yeah it does at the end of the day

nope cannot find 2012 stock anymore. cuz i need it by this coming sunday already.
and i don't really trust proton on those technology like push start button, paddle swift and the CFE engine. lol  tongue.gif

i everyday only travel total 20km from house to campus. but maybe sometimes go outstation with friends, and i love to speed and take corner.

So i think preve exec is the better choice?
*
start stop button and paddle shift should be least of your concern with a Preve. Preve is definitely more stable at high speeds and cornering compared to saga.

however, is most of your 20km commute smooth highway or city traffic? be warned that preve exec(and CFE) don't have great city driving fuel consumption

Sure sure bro. Saga flx got kits and rims also. Can race with gtr
*
why dont you go for Neo? its cheaper and faster than Preve Exec, also stable at high speeds
