QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Apr 25 2013, 10:07 AM) read few pages back.. apparently, they are more strict on non new customer for the cashback..because everyone seems to abuse it i blame those who apply, use the cashback and cancel the card straight.. sudah cakap as long as hold less than one year would be fine lor die die also want to cancel straight I second that. No point to cancel the card since cash back already offset the GST and who knows, there might be any exciting promo coming up sooner

Just received a call from PS informing me about the status of the WorldMiles card i applied 2 days ago. He said since i am an existing customer, therefore the 40,000 AirAsia big point and the groupon gifts (digital luggage scale, 5-piece travel bag organiser) will not be given. And another RM55 cashback will be given to offset GST. Other than that, all remains. Is it worth the monthly RM15?

SCB is so boring, why are they still offering this one-time cash back? I thought they said they're coming up with something on the second quarter? Don't tell me it's the Worldmiles and translucent, LMAO...

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 17 2013, 02:09 PM) Latest clarification of the SCB Supplementary Cash Back. - It's given 60 days after the date of ACTIVATION (not approval/GST date) but T&C states Oh well, i guess they changed their T&C again seeing many terminating their cards after getting all the cash back. They should have offer simple promo to get people utilizing the cards like 50% off second Starbucks drink, 5x points on weekend and so on. Giving out cash not gonna help...

QUOTE(-Matrix- @ Jun 17 2013, 08:43 PM) nah ... i think they should give 5.1% cashback on utilities, petrol, groceries, dining and 3.1% on "everything" else plus 5.1X points, mon-sun ... that would make it the superhero of all credit cards and send ocbc & maybank packing ... And then have a cap at RM30? I think if they could reinstate unlimited plaza premium lounge entry, that would be good enough..

QUOTE(jwwc @ Jun 18 2013, 12:26 AM) Actually SCB has one of the most F&B deals compared to other banks. You can check it out here: http://www.standardchartered.com.my/credit...privileges.htmlHope I copied the right link. Apple can't load that page properly lol Good thing for those who reside on KL but how about those in the East? This is where rewards points come in play. Giving the benefit equally to everyone, and SCB should notice that their points redemption for a particular item compared with other banks are much higher so they shouldn't be so boring offering 1x point instead pump it up to 3x on everyday and 5x on weekend, top it off with evergreen points.

QUOTE(carlitofreak @ Jun 23 2013, 10:11 AM) me too. apply SC card at their roadshow booth and received 2 cards. I only apply for business visa but in the end I received that card together with their visa gold card. haihhh I guess SCB's customer base has gone below their target thus they are kind of desperate to get people back. Not to worry though, just terminate the card that serve no purposes...

QUOTE(jwwc @ Jul 16 2013, 06:24 PM) Anyone got charged RM15 commitment fees for the World Miles Card? Didn't see it appear on my first statement Depicted via SCB's web... "The Miles Membership Fee will be waived for the first 12 months and you will also earn WorldMiles Points through your supplementary cards’ retail spend."

QUOTE(vez @ Sep 2 2013, 06:30 PM) Yeah as SCB knew that nobody cares to get their cards anymore thus they drop the requirements, give free cash, etc. After all, SCB is down spiraling nowadays as their rewards points are not attractive, no exciting monthly cash back, no plaza premium lounge and etc...
