SCB finally transferred/returned my missing ChoicePoints, after 4 weeks. The points are basically useless as it can't redeem anything, but it needed Bank Negara's intervention before they actually take it seriously.

applied my card via a roadshow, together with 8-10 colleagues of mine.

all gotten our cards, and the smartag/ tng.

at the meanwhile, all of us (ALL), altogether received call from UOB agent, asking us to apply for their credit card, balance transfer, loan...

wonder, how can the agent do this kind of thing, selling our information to their competitors, the other banks?

is this the way they deal with our very personal data? the competitor agent even have our name, phone everything...

lodge a complain to SCB and cc to Bank Negara

Received SMS promotion on supplementary card, cash back up to RM300.

Thinking to get one for my younger brother.

WHich one is better? SCB or Maybank Amex? I received Amex suppcard leaflet that posted to my house.
*
If your aim is just the free cash, then go for SCB.

If really wanna use the card, go for MBB2.

I received 2 sms saying my card is en-route. I just noticed that each sms mentioned different ending number.

Are they sending me 2 cards? Normal for SCB?
*
The question is, you applied for 1 or 2 cards?

6 months is minimum means RM15 x 6 = RM90 + RM50 GST = RM140.

for 40k of big points, you can buy 2 ways ticket to Bangkok, this is what my friend told me. what do you think then?
*
40k can get you to many places. Refer to the latest promo:

No idea, never been to any SCB branch before. You may call customer service and ask if it is possible before heading there.

I applied online also, but 3 weeks after I apply SCB told my my card (plat business) is not avail for this supp promo. Then tell me unless i open the normal card that is on promo. I declined. Few days later some dude text my mobile and say its avail now and asked if i want to proceed to get the supp plat visa. i reply yes and it has since then been processed.
*
You are quoting me for the wrong context. I was referring to the question on points redemption.

OK fine, then it follows by. GST and annual fees will be waived even though no usage for one year. Then, free one tabung I think. This part, I'm not sure if I heard wrongly... Free trips to Thai. sweat.gif

Anybody knows about this?

Maybe when I'm free later, will pay a visit to the booth. Since they said, I don't need to show any proof.
*
I think he is referring to WorldMiles card, you get BigPoints but read the T&C

QUOTE(cactus1 @ Jun 13 2013, 04:02 PM)
Kindly provide more details. How can the bank simply reverse the cash back?

You cancelled the card which lead to the cashback reversal?
*
Read again. It was for duplicated cashback. SCB made an error, so now just a reversal.

I just get my platinum Master and visa yesterday. i only apply one card in the road show, but i get two. i called to CS, the person said, is SC practice to give u another card.

The annual free is Rm250 per annum, if i have two card mean i have to pay RM500?

Is it the annual fee is free for first two year?

Can i know if i cancel the extra card prior to the activation, do i get charge for the service tax or goverment tax? I just want to have confirmation here. I cant trust the CS 100%.

I still consider, is it i need this credit card. feel cheated by the guy with give me the fault and wrong information.
*
The fees and charges issue aside, if you have applied for 1 card only and given 2 and you are hot happy about that, please make a complaint to the bank and cc to Bank Negara. Time and again, these agents have been doing the same unethical activity.

If future, please make sure you cancel out other cards that you are not applying. If possible, request for a photocopy of your application.

So I put in a request to terminate my last CC last week and this morning, a staff from PS called me. Her offer, RM50 cashback but need to retain for at least 6 months. I said I am not comfortable with the 6 months term, and she added another 10000 points to sweeten the deal noting that my card anniversary is near. Not really interested with the points, so we settled at RM50 + RM50. Actually I don't know why they still want to retain customers like me who hardly use the card since they screw-up the points system last year, i am not complaining though.

Yeah, their points are not worth it, if I'm not mistaken. How did you get RM50+50? RM50 is the cashback and RM50 is the waiver?
*
The 1st RM50 cashback is their direct offer, came very early in our conversation. The second RM50 came when she offered 10k CP and I pointed out that I am not interested with the points due to the new catalogue. I was ready to cancel and forfeit several thousands CP. She said I can use it to pay the GST or normal transactions.

So you end up keeping it for extra RM100? How long are you extending this time before you going to cancel it later?
*
Will re-consider again 2 months before the anniversary. My 2 yrs AF waiver will end then.
