RM0.00 Your Temporary Password for Standard Chartered Online Banking is 484XXX and is valid until 16 Dec 2012 11:56AM. Do not share your password with anyone and if you have not performed this transaction, please contact the bank.

I haven't received my card but received this this morning. Valid 5 days. Is this consider unauthorized PIN? Anyone get this message before? I think I will get the card either later or tomorrow.
*
All my pins were delivered though mail, not sms. It states 'transaction'? Call up SCB number, listed from the webite and ask about this. Maybe it is a new thing.

well, i asked my friend who got the cc last month. she said she received the same too. the sender is 63365. Should not be any unauthorised access.

The problem is i havent got my cc yet tho.

SCB must assume i got it already.
*
must be new procedure to save cost biggrin.gif

well dont worry then, it should be within the couple of days.

I applied 2 SCB platinum cards (Business Plat Visa + Plat Master) on 17/11, Approved on 4/12 and get the cards 11/12 today. My account only has cash back RM 55 per cards before minus GST 50/cards. I called CS, they replied saying have to swipe 3 times/card in 45 days and only get back the remaining cash-back RM250 after that. Is it true?
*
weird, why the odd number RM55?

Maybank + Stanchart outstanding = combined CL = overcharge if I exceed it? rclxub.gif
What's my credit limit for Stanchart card?
*
CC from bank A will not share credit limit with bank B. Independent.

If you have 2 cards from SCB, they will share the credit limit (combined).

You can check the credit limit for your SCB card from online banking system or the letter that your CC was delivered with (the one where your CC is 'glued' to).

Haha.. Ok, so to check my credit limit must give them a call eh?
2 cards are more than enough.

Got Maybank and this SC. smile.gif So, what are the benefits of SC card?
Good for foreign transactions? Online purchase? I use Maybank Visa for the EZpay and Treats Points.
*
yes, apart from what i have liste, you can call CS to ask too.

Stick to maybank visa for foreign transactions..imo, SCB is only good for discounts at selected dining outlets for now.

Coz not using CC to pay for fuel.. I thought they'll give me higher CL. Maybank's higher smile.gif
So, I'm keeping my Maybank card, and will cancel Stanchart.

Do I have to pay for annual fee if I cancel my card say next week? I still have RM250 cashback untouched.
*
just use the rm250 and terminate it after several months.
annual fee is waived for the first 2 years for new cc aplications, this is stated at the website.

Yeah, after thinking for like 3 days, it will be very bad of me to use free money like that and cancel the card later. Easy come, easy go. wink.gif Even the CS operator was shocked by my choice this evening.

Conmen?
Ok, maybe will apply online. Any nearest branch of OCBC around Shah Alam, Setia Alam and Klang?
*
the RM250 can get you a good quality note 2 case whistling.gif

but anyway, good for you notworthy.gif rclxms.gif

Annual fees is free for first two years. Call them up and ask for waiver.
*
QUOTE(mokkf82 @ Dec 21 2012, 09:42 AM)
Call them to waive it. Remember to taruh them "kaw Kaw" until they pass it to their Service card deparment. If not they will just tell u it's normal to charge RM300 and u need to use point to waive it. Cause service desk like bully ppl.

Thanks.
Will do.
If not, just cancel it.

My 2 cents.

If the 2 years AF waiver for new cards is displayed at their website (i didnt check if it is still there), SCB should make it automatic and customer should not even have to make a waiver request.

Will apply for this card, for the RM 300 cash back. laugh.gif

I'm qualified for Business VISA Platinum and only about RM 2k lacking for Platinum VISA's annual requirement. If I were thick faced enough, I wonder if they will give me Plat VISA. laugh.gif

Not sure what's the difference but I think I will go for Business VISA Platinum since I can fulfill the requirements. laugh.gif
*
Same benefits..but who knows, PS agent may ask you to apply both whistling.gif

If you are lucky, you may get RM400 cashback instead (as reported by several new applicants)

Where can I check the deadline?

Ya, but I just want the correspondence address to be temporarily parked under company's address. After I receive my card, I need to get it changed to my hometown.
*
From the website, terms and condition.

Just put your company address for delivery. Once you receive the card, request to change the address. Better dont make the CS confuse now.

I don't plan to confuse them now but had bad experience with my Maybank card whereby keep telling them I need it to be delivered to office yet it sent back to my hometown. doh.gif

Wait until you deal with SCB CS (can vomit blood)...that's why i said dont make them confuse even with simple instruction.

hi guys just now using SC CC to pump petrol .. Total amount around RM40.. but i received msg from SC Transaction alert stated that -

Retail purchase of MYR200.00 was made from credit card (no) on (date) at (time) ..

any1 mind explain this ? Thanks
*
Hi, that is normal when you pay at the pump. They will hold a fixed amount RM200/RM250 first, depending on petrol/bank, until the station posts the transaction.
