From 1 April 2013, spend with any Standard Chartered Credit Card and you could be well on your way
to your next holiday with a redeemed flight. Because now, you can earn 360° Rewards Points and convert them into AirAsia BIG Points. With flights to redeem, you can now fly to more places around the world.

http://www.standardchartered.com.my/person...nbnr_5x_airasia

Also earn 5x points when you spend on local retails in April and May.

Need to read more to check whether existing points can be used to redeem the BIG Points or not.

add:
Air Asia Miles
1000 BIG Miles
Rewards Code:  201450
Points Required:  9,000
Mode of Delivery:  Air miles credit

Does that mean all SCB credit card Rewards Points system is back effective 1 April 2013?

I am not very clear myself. If it is something 'exciting', I would expect that SCB would want to disseminate it in a bigger way biggrin.gif

Why no point?

Fees and charges, and reversed and voided charges don't earn points for all other cards anyway.

I use my Amex for petrol to earn 5X points, and I can use my other cards too for insurance premiums and bill payments.

I received my SC Platinum Visa Card 2 weeks ago, just wonder where to find the benefits/offers of this card. In its website, it mentions card holder can enjoy discount in shopping & dinning, but where to find the list of shops and restaurants? Thanks.

I only want to hold max 2 CC. (RM100) Gov tax. Best if can have CC that is all round benefit. It use to be for SCB Business card. But ever since they remove points earnings and jack up the points required to get goodies. This is no longer the case.

Now I think Maybank 2 CC is better. AMEX + Visa/MC.

I see you are referring to your own specific circumstances. That being the case, I'd understand. smile.gif

As for me, the unlimited Priority Pass Lounge access benefit of the SCB PB VI more than made up for the unattractive rewards points system, as I access PP Lounges 12-14 times a year.

The SCB PB VI lounge access alone is far superior than the meagre point rewards biggrin.gif

I see the points are back with SCB but the problem is that the points inflation is still there. Probably a stop gap measure but somebody forgot to review the redemptions rates.

For example conversion to Enrich points 1000 ER = 43000 SCB Points.
MBB is still better @ 1000ER = 5000TP (Visa)

Totally agreed. That's why if SCB ever decides to pull the plug on the lounge access benefit, I'd be off shopping for another card.

Having said that, it would only benefit those who do make use of the lounge access privileges.
